Job Title: Staff Nurse ( ICU, NEURO-ICU , CHEMO, EMERGENCY , CRITICAL CARE )

Location: Asarfi Hospital, Dhanbad , Jharkhand ,828105

Position Type: Full-Time.

Reports To: Charge Nurse / Nurse Manager

Job Summary:

The Oncology Staff Nurse provides comprehensive care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and supportive care. This role involves working closely with oncologists, other healthcare professionals, and patients to manage cancer-related symptoms, administer treatments, and offer emotional and educational support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care:
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual needs and treatment plans.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncological treatments according to protocols.
• Monitor and manage side effects and adverse reactions of treatments.
• Provide wound care, manage IV lines, and handle other nursing procedures as required.
• Patient and Family Education:
• Educate patients and their families about cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and potential side effects.
• Provide guidance on self-care, symptom management, and lifestyle adjustments.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Care Coordination:
• Collaborate with oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Prepare patients for procedures and treatments, ensuring they understand the process and addressing any concerns.
• Document and update patient records accurately and timely.
• Supportive Care:
• Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and families coping with cancer.
• Address pain and symptom management, including the use of palliative care techniques when necessary.
• Advocate for patient needs and preferences in care planning.
• Clinical and Administrative Duties:
• Monitor and document vital signs, lab results, and patient progress.
• Participate in clinical trials and research studies, if applicable.
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
• Completion of oncology nursing certification (OCN) preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Experience:
• Minimum of [2-3] years of nursing experience, with at least [1-2] years in oncology preferred.
• Experience with chemotherapy , ICU, Neonatal care and radiation therapy administration..

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of oncology treatments and protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and family interactions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?10,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
