1. Patient Care
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.
• Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and record patients' vital signs, symptoms, and progress regularly.
• Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, feeding, and mobility when needed.
2. Medical Procedures and Monitoring
• Conduct medical procedures like wound dressing, catheterization, and IV insertion.
• Monitor and manage medical equipment like ventilators, feeding tubes, and oxygen systems.
• Observe and record any changes in patient health and report significant changes to the medical team.
3. Patient Education and Support
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, and medications.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families, explaining post-treatment care.
• Guide patients on healthy lifestyle choices and self-care techniques.
4. Documentation and Record Keeping
• Accurately document patient care, treatments, and medical history.
• Update patient records regularly, ensuring confidentiality in line with health regulations.
• Maintain accurate nursing logs and other required records.
5. Collaboration and Communication
• Coordinate with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare professionals for patient care.
• Communicate patient needs and concerns to the healthcare team promptly.
• Participate in team meetings and provide input for patient care plans.
6. Infection Control and Safety
• Adhere to infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Use and dispose of medical equipment, needles, and waste following safety standards.
• Practice standard precautions to protect patients and staff from infections.
7. Patient Assessment and Evaluation
• Conduct initial assessments and periodic evaluations of patients' physical and mental health.
• Develop and adjust nursing care plans based on patient progress and changing needs.
• Perform triage in emergency situations, prioritizing care based on patient needs.
8. Emergency Response
• Act as a first responder to medical emergencies, providing life-saving interventions.
• Administer CPR or other emergency procedures until specialized medical help arrives.
• Prepare and manage patients for emergency transport when necessary.
9. Training and Development
• Mentor and train new nursing staff, interns, and healthcare aides.
• Participate in ongoing education, workshops, and certifications to stay updated on best practices.
• Adhere to the latest nursing practices and encourage continuous learning within the team.
