Job Description
A school nurse provides healthcare services to students, ensuring their physical and mental well-being. Key responsibilities include:
• Health Assessments : Conducting routine check-ups, screenings, and assessing students for illness or injury.
• First Aid & Emergency Care : Providing immediate care for injuries and emergencies.
• Medication Administration : Administering prescribed medications and monitoring students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes).
• Health Education : Teaching students and staff about hygiene, nutrition, and healthy practices.
• Record Keeping : Maintaining health records and tracking immunizations.
School nurses play a crucial role in promoting a safe and healthy school environment.
