:Job PurposeTo support SH Mechanical in implementation of planned maintenance activities and improvement / modification jobs in Cement Mill and Packing plant and Truck loading area for optimum plant availability to meet the budgeted production and dispatch targets.Job Context & Major ChallengesJob Context : Roorkee Cement Works Unit is a clinker grinding unit located in Village Nalheri Dehviran, P.O. Anantpur, Tahsil- Roorkee, Dist. Haridwar, Uttarakhand. The company is spread in an area of 19.0777 Ha. The plant is situated on Pohana-Iqbalpur road ((SH-28), at a distance of about 15 km from Roorkee city and 185 km from Delhi. The plant is located at a distance of 5 km from NH-73. The nearest railway station is Roorkee which is 15 km from the plant and nearest airport is Jauligrant which is 65 km from the plant.
Rated production capacity of the unit is 1.2 MTPA. Presently it is capable of producing 1.5 MTPA due to enhanced output rate of production.
The unit was commissioned in 2nd Jan 2010 and despatch was commenced wef from 18th Jan 2010. The Unit has achieved increased output rate by and surpassed the rated capacity of 165 TPH, with increased fly ash absorption > 32% and reduction in total specific energy consumption close to 30 kWH/T.
The company gets 100% excise exemption for 10 years and 100% income tax exemption for initial 5 years and 30% for further 5 years. Merit of Certificate for best Energy Conservation by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India was awarded to JRCGU in the year 2012-13.consumptions.

Less availabity of equipmentxe2x80x99s for maintenance due to continuous plant operations and high despatches.
To ensure optimum availability of Cement mill and packing plant throughout the year and systematic implementation of maintenance schedule to achieve production targets.

KRA1 Shift Maintenance & operation Activities -Execution of preventive & corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure periodic checking.
- Manpower planning in advance for daily jobs.
- Planning and procurement of advanced good quality tools and tackles for fast execution of jobs.
- Eliminating non value adding activities.
- Daily monitoring of equipment health and maintaining records.
- Maintaining proper housekeeping and following good maintenance practices.
- Discussion on chronic problems with section team and & co-workers, and eliminate it.
-Coordinating with different section for quick trouble shooting of problems in shift operations.
KRA2 Reduction in plant breakdown and Shutdown Jobs Performing - To coordinate all activities of major / minor breakdowns as per planned job list.
- Making sure availability of tools tackles and equipment spare parts at site for reduction in breakdown / shutdown time by proper planning and coordinating with concerned sections.
- Execution of preventive maintenance activities as per schedule and equipment site condition.
Planning and sharing requirement of advanced good quality tools and tackles for fast execution of jobs
KRA3 Cost control * Avoid over time and optimum utilization of contract manpower
Timely trouble shooting of problems in coordination with other to avoid any loss due to idle running, equipment damage or plant stoppage.

• Control the handling cost by avoiding Spillage.

KRA4 Focus on SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) along with Sustainability initiatives xc2xa7 Ensuring 100% compliance of all safety standards and all applicable recommendations related to their concerned area.
xc2xa7 Educating team about xe2x80x9cI know my jobxe2x80x9d, xe2x80x9cI know the hazards associated with my job and I applied control measuresxe2x80x9d & xe2x80x9cI escalate to my seniorxe2x80x9d among manpower deployed in sections/department manpower including peer, WB & CL manpower
xc2xa7 Timely conducting scheduled SO round and reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses on occurrences in the area of concern in system.
xc2xa7 To conduct daily Tool Box Talk as schedule and before start the job any critical job along with SWP
xc2xa7 Active participation in safety training, safety sub committees, standard champions meeting and any safety event
xc2xa7 Ensure good housekeeping, limited use of power, no leakage of water, oil, air etc and reporting concerned if any abnormalities for corrective action
xc2xa7 Adhering of all safety precautions on the site and off the site
xc2xa7 Replicating good practice for saving environment for long run sustainability and creating awareness among manpower to save guard natural resources.
KRA5 System Management
(Effective implementation of all IMS and other systems requirements through involvement for continuous improvement in plant working condition & quality standards) -To implement improvement project to reduce repetitive problems/breakdown or losses.
-Timely submission of Kaizen, OPL, Good to fine, suggestion on system
-Developing and sustaining Model area in respective sections
-100% active participation in respective KFA & GRT meetings and giving inputs related to bring new technology, innovation and improvements towards productivity. Conduct awareness programs down the level team
-To know about IMS and other systems requirement and documents for Non-Conformity in section during internal and external audits or assessments.
-Implementation of critical spares & consumable SOP without any defilement
- Identify & arrange rectification of leakage points/unsafe points along with monitor & take corrective action for emission levels.
