:Job PurposeTo support SH F&C by planning, managing, monitoring and reviewing the functioning of total materials management, system consisting of Raw material (corrective materials), S & S including capex procurement, stores management, inventory management, work contracts management, scrap Management, and in bound transportation management of various materials, which are in scope of Unit, in line with the business requirement and company objectives with a view to optimise cost, quality and delivery within the targeted budget adhering with all safety standards.Job Context & Major ChallengesJob Context:- Aligarh Cement Works Harduaganj (A unit of UltraTech Cement Limited) is located at Village Kasimpur , Tehsil koil Dt. Aligarh (U. P.). It is a grinding & packing unit with an installed capacity of 1.3 MTPA. This unit was commissioned in May -09 consisting of Close Circuit Ball Mill with High Efficiency Separator, 2X12 spout Packer Machine. It manufactures Ultratech Cement in various Blends.
This unit is one of our most modern establishments of Grasim Industries Ltd. The basic raw material i.e. clinker received from Vikram Cement, Khor (M.P.) and Aditya Cement, Shambhupura (Rajasthan). The main product is flyash based, which is being sourced from Thermal power station Aligarh, Kasimpur and cement is supplied to mainly in Eastern UP .. The plant has a state of the art technology featuring Expert System of DCS with fully equipped modern laboratory to ensure optimum production and consistent quality product, these are the latest equipment in cement grinding process.Major Challenges; 1. Arrangement of spares, specified items, block Items& other Items with in time, budgeted cost with required quality at bear minimum manpower from local(80% indented items procure from local. 2. Arrangement of Gypsum from different mines with lowest landed cost with minimum 55 % purity & 7 % moisture.
Today, unit is acknowledged as one of the most efficient, vibrant, productive, profitable, technologically updated and state-of-the-art unit of Aditya Birla Groupxe2x80x99s UltraTech Cement Business.
The focus area for Job holder is to take care of procurement and stores operations at the Unit and ensure proper Planning, organizing and controlling material requirements as per unit production planning.Major Challenges: -
(1)To maintain optimum stock of Raw materials to fulfil the manufacturing targets and fluctuation in cement demand as per marketing requirement.
(2)Ensuring timely availability of Raw materials, packing bags, Fuel, Consumables, Stores & Spare materials at a competitive price and of acceptable quality to meet manufacturing targets and fluctuation in cement demand as per marketing requirement.
(3)Cost reduction of major inputs.
(4)Work with unit logistics team to increase back hauling between in-bound and out-bound logistics.

KRA5 5. Scrap Disposal
Timely disposal of generated scrap to eliminate the waste from the plant

• Identifying scrap to be disposed along with the other BARDANA committee members.

• Inviting quotations and making comparisons.

KRA6 Focus on SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) along with Sustainability initiatives xc2xa7 Ensuring 100% compliance of all safety standards and all applicable recommendations related to their concerned area.

xc2xa7 Timely conducting scheduled SO round and reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses on occurrences in the area of concern in system.
xc2xa7 To conduct daily Tool Box Talk as schedule and before start the job any critical job along with SWP
xc2xa7 Active participation in safety training, safety sub committees, standard champions meeting and any safety event
xc2xa7 Ensure good housekeeping, limited use of power, no leakage of water, oil, air etc and reporting concerned if any abnormalities for corrective action
xc2xa7 Adhering of all safety precautions on the site and off the site
xc2xa7 Replicating good practice for saving environment for long run sustainability and creating awareness among manpower to save guard natural resources.
