Work with product teams, analysts, and engineers to design and develop systems and application software focusing on the backend and front-end of existing and new products. Hands-on experience developing APIs by adhering to coding standards and aligning with the business requirements by evaluating the impact and benefits on the users. Experience in developing APIs and front-end for new systems and adding features to existing applications.ResponsibilitiesResponsible and self-motivated individual for understanding existing applications/apis and the development of new APIs/features in an existing MVC based architecture product and new product assigned as per priorityInvestigates, analyzes, and evaluates new technologies by understanding the existing backend architecture and business logic to develop new APIs and enhancement to existing onesCollaborate actively in technical discussions with an open mindset of understanding the root cause of any features/improvements with local/globally distributed teamsFollow the best coding principles to develop APIs adhering to the SLOs and responsive applications that are aligned with the wireframesParticipates in peer reviews and develops code for a feature and multiple modulesAcquaint with company-level UI components and help to develop reusable componentsThorough understanding of the usage of APIs in front-endDeliver quality products within the stipulated time supported by the wireframes/mock-upsIdentify bottlenecks and bugs by bringing up the shortcomings and devise solutions to these problems before they change into risksPromptly resolve production issues based on priority - with a focus on unblocking the customer and ensuring problems do not recurQualificationsBS in computer science or equivalent with 2+ years or MS in computer science or equivalent with 6+ years of hands-on professional software development experience architecting, building, deploying, and maintaining customer-facing UI at scale in an innovative engineering environment.Must have experience in API and Front-end development with expertise in cloud-based application development with in-depth knowledge of primary skills of React along with its latest new featuresExperience with multiple architecture styles on consuming micro-services in the user interfaceKnowledge and mid-level experience in architecting and building large-scale systems using a scale-out architecture that requires high availability, performance, high scalability, and multi-tenancyReal-world experience with continuous integration and delivery using a public cloud such as AWS and container technologies such as Docker will be a plusHands-on experience with Agile-scrum methodology and TDDA sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company\xe2\x80\x99s successOpenness to learn new technologies, programming languages etc.Critical thinking and problem-solving skillsGood time-management skillsGood interpersonal and communication skillsEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability.
