What you will do

In this position, you will be responsible for crafting and implementing tailored technical architectures for our suite of R&D applications. Role involves designing and developing AI solutions that leverage extensive data for model creation. Working closely with the R&D function, you will understand business challenges and devise solutions to address them, requiring expertise in AI, machine learning, deep learning, and data analysis.

Your contributions to our IT AI roadmap will involve collaboration with Product owners to ensure our technological strategies remain cutting-edge within the R&D domain. This includes exploring emerging technologies like 6G, machine learning, and automation, and validating requirements through design reviews, usability testing, and customer visits. You\'ll also collaborate with other software/solution architects to create comprehensive solutions. Emphasizing our commitment to security, you will ensure that all architectures meet the highest standards, particularly regarding data protection and compliance. Beyond individual contributions, your role extends to providing mentorship and guidance to Tech and Data teams, fostering a culture rooted in continuous learning and innovation.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Understand R&D business processes and their connection to technology.
• Lead the design of AI solutions, including architectural sessions, proof of concepts, project implementation, and ongoing refinement.
• Develop technical architectures for R&D applications.
• Oversee integration design for seamless data flow, ensuring integrity, consistency, and security.
• Design application interfaces for optimal user experience, integration feasibility, and scalability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, automation teams, tech and data teams, and external vendors to align system design with business goals.
• Contribute to the development of Technology and Data roadmaps, staying current with R&D technology advancements.
• Ensure security standards are met, especially regarding data protection and regulatory compliance.
• Provide mentorship and leadership to Tech and Data staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or a related field
• 8+ years of IT architecture experience
• 3+ years of AI or machine learning experience
• Proficiency in SQL, Oracle, Python, Spark, Hive, and data visualization tools
• Knowledge of new architectural patterns, cloud native PaaS technologies (AWS/Azure), API management, and event-driven data platforms like Kafka
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in healthcare and CPG industry is advantageous.
• In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies (SAFe, Kanban, Scrum, Design Thinking)
• Comfortable with ambiguity and managing complexity.
• Self-starter with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks independently.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, negotiation skills, and team collaboration
• Proficient in productivity tools such as Draw.io, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, MS Teams, SharePoint; familiarity with Mural, ServiceNow, and PowerBI is a plus.
