Job Summary: The Staff Cafeteria Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking meals for the company's staff cafeteria. The role involves ensuring that meals are nutritious, well-presented, and prepared in a timely manner, while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus, ensuring food quality and presentation standards are met.
• Catering to diverse dietary needs and preferences.
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and ensure the proper storage of food items to maintain freshness.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are clean and sanitary at all times.
• Ensure proper portion sizes are served, minimizing waste and maintaining cost-effective practices.
• Interact with staff in a friendly and professional manner, addressing any dietary requests or concerns promptly.
• Maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring it is clean and in good working condition. Report any maintenance needs to the supervisor.
• Keep accurate records of food inventory, temperature logs, and cleaning schedules.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Culinary training or certification is a plus.
• Experience: Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a cafeteria or large-scale food service environment.
• Skills:
• Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
• Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
• Comfortable working in a hot and busy kitchen environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?20,000.00 per month
