Job Title: Tax AssociateLocation: Bangalore
Shift Timing: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST (5-day work week)
Job Summary:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate with 1-3 years of general accounting experience to join our growing Tax team. As a Tax Associate, you will be responsible for supporting tax compliance and reporting. This position primarily focuses on general tax work, with an emphasis on Sales and Use Tax, which is an important function for the team. While prior experience with sales and use tax is nice to have. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and develop in this area.The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general accounting principles and be motivated to expand their knowledge of tax laws and compliance, including sales and use tax.Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and review of various tax returns, with a focus on sales and use tax for multiple jurisdictions.
• Support the preparation and reconciliation of tax provision calculations.
• Help with audits and requests from state and local taxing authorities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all tax-related transactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Accounting, etc.) to ensure accurate and efficient tax compliance.
• Support internal and external reporting requirements related to tax.
• Stay informed on tax law changes, particularly in the area of sales and use tax, and assist in implementing necessary process updates.
• Identify and recommend improvements in processes for greater efficiency and compliance.

• Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus.

• Minimum 1-3 years of general accounting or tax experience (required)
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to analyze financial data and present clear findings.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

• Familiarity with state and local tax laws, particularly sales and use tax.
• Experience with ERP systems or tax software.
• Prior experience of Sales and Use Tax
