Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. This block has been allottedto M/S THDC India Limited. THDC has appointed Amelia Coal Mining Limited as their MDO. Dueto recent crisis of coal in the country, Ministry of power is insisting THDC management to start theproduction from FY23. Subsequently THDC has proposed to start coal production from FY23.Job Challenges: Amelia Coal Mining as MDO has following major challenges. StatutoryClearances Procure issuance of EC, FC, CTO & CGWA NOC Reclamation and compliancewith the environmental standards Land Acquisition and R&R - Obtain physical possession ofLand on behalf of Authority. Facilitate implementation of the approved R&R policy with shiftingof PDFs from Project site Mining Operations Guaranteed coal production of 5.6MTPA atdesignated grade and size with OB removal Undertake Progressive Mine Closure and Final MineClosure Mining and Associated Infrastructure Construct and maintain Approach and accessroads To arrange for requisite power supply for the Coal Mining Project from the state utility /relevant Government Instrumentality on behalf of the authority Construct, operate & maintainCHP and conveyor system for transfer of coal Construct, operate and maintain Railway sidingand necessary associated infrastructure4) Key Result Areas/Accountabilities:Key Result Areas/Accountabilities Supporting ActionsPlanning and BudgetingDesign and implement an appropriate policy framework toguide unit / plant decision-making and development inrelation to finance & accounts, commercial and purchasePrepare annual budget and forecasts aligned to strategicplans and in accordance with guidelines of unit andGroup. Participate in strategic decision making and aftersensitivity analysis.Controlling of AccountsManage and maintain the financial accounting systems,Monitoring of proper keeping of books of accounts of allthe expenses and incomes adhering to the standard.Oversee timely processing of vendor claims with fairnessand making payment to the vendors against their claimsas per the contract/ agreement. Ensuring the completionof monthly, quarterly and annual accounts in time withaccuracy.Compliance with Commercial Lawsand TaxationEnsure financial and other reporting systems aremaintained to the standards required by the ROC,Companies Act, Group Systems & Policies and externalauditors and regulatory agencies To supervise andensure adherence to Service Tax, VAT, WCT, IT etc.Billing/ Collection & Working CapitalManagementEnsuring the early collection of bills against the billsraised. Ensuring timely remittance of fund requirement toCFD and coordination for availability of fund in time withan intention to reduce holding cost of fund and get moreinterest income from temporary investment.Financial Analysis, MIS & Cost Ensure timely preparation of Trial balance of all profit ReportPage 3 of 3Controlcentres of the unit. Reconciliation/Cross checking ofvarious data required for MIS. Ensuring to submit themanagement information reports in time. Identification ofthe areas of cost control and bring to the notice of SeniorManagement for implementations of internalchecks/controls.Purchase & StoresManage the purchase function of the unit includingpurchase processes, contracts, payments and vendormanagement Monitoring the purchase and storesfunctions to ensure timely purchase/ procurement withcompetitive rate Ensure establishment of standardprocedures establishment and ensuring zero deviation
