  • To work with Engineering, Platform, DevOps teams to enable SRE/Service support model function, which will support production services using best practices in incident, change, release and problem management.
  • Acting as primary co-ordination point for service issues escalated by external support teams.
  • Assisting cross-functional teams with change and release management - the path to live
  • Supporting and promoting a culture of continuous monitoring by recording and publishing services performance reports against stated service quality attributes.
  • Driving incident resolution - technology or process, across technology teams, stakeholders and management where required
  • Identify any necessary changes to the contingency / resilience requirements during the life on a service.
  • Adopt best practices for monitoring, logging and alerting for both production and non-production environments.
  • Managing Service Inventory, plan platform rebuild schedules, work with relevant teams to schedule and drive routine activity runs
  • Routine review of production services for capacity review planning and adopt optimization methods for platform cost optimizations
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Sound knowledge of SRE practices including Application Support, Service Management, Incident Management, Problem Management and Change/Release Management
  • Cloud infrastructure understanding with good understanding on important tools like Kubernetes, Managed instance groups, Alerting and Monitoring tools like Datadog, AppDynamics
  • SRE experience for managing cloud-based applications on GCP/AWS stack
  • Experience using service management tools e.g. Jira ServiceNow etc.
  • Proven analytical skills & ability to deal with application issues root cause analysis
  • A flexible & committed approach, a willingness to work outside of core hours as required to provide Application Support at a global level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to develop relationships across business, ITO and software delivery teams globally
  • Good application understanding on DevOps and automation tooling like Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform
  • Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Internet Banking propositions or other customer facing applications, services or infrastructure is desirable but not essential
  • GCP/AWS Cloud Certification
