Job Description


Job Family Descriptor Responsible for software development projects across multiple technologies (in-house or through vendors) for building new capabilities, driving automation and improve operational efficiencies (across Colocation, Data Centre, Cloud, MSS etc.). Formulates and defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications, including commercial applications. Drives design, development, testing, debugging and implementation of software applications or specialized utility programs using current programming languages and source code to support end users\' needs. Performs regular updates and recommends improvement to existing applications using engineering releases and utilities. Establishes technology standards for applications development and is also responsible for software quality assurance by reviewing process compliances, identifying pain points, and driving improvement initiatives. Broad outline of the Role Develops applications/softwares as per technical specifications. Conducts development testing and reports testing issues to supervisor. Identify and track bugs, assess nature of bugs and executes corrective actions. May be an individual contributor or may lead a team through application of deep knowledge of one job area or broad knowledge of several job areas within Software Development. Operational role, responsible for setting objectives and delivering results that have a significant impact within the context of a wider operational area. Capable of instructing professional or technical staff and reviewing the quality of the work undertaken by these roles. Capable of identifying key issues and priorities and focusing on these to deliver required results with minimal direction and supervision. Demonstrates a level of flexibility in resolving problems/issues that at least to in-depth command of all techniques, processes, tools and standards, within the relevant field of specialisation. Able to identify problems and significantly improve, change or adapt existing methods and techniques. Education: MBA in Systems or MCA Experience: 4-7 years experience in software development Purpose - Broad objective of the role Operating Network - Key External Operating Network - Key Internal Size and Scope of Role - Financial Size and Scope of Role - No. of direct reports Size and Scope of Role - Total team Size and Scope of Role - Other parameters Minimum qualification & experience Other knowledge/skills Key Responsibilities Senior developer with 6+ years of proven experience of applying software design principles & design patterns developing enterprise level applications. Experience with programming, testing, continuous integration and deployment using Microsoft technologies. Should be able to translate complex business problems into innovative technology solutions using technical expertise. Participate in agile development process to ensure team and project deliverable\'s are met on time and of high quality. Excellent problem solving skills, high-quality coding skills, ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Technical Competencies Strong Fundamental understanding of Object Oriented programming, C# principles and design patterns. Skilled in .NET Framework 4.x/Core, C#,LINQ, Entity Framework, Async programming, Visual Studio X, TFS/GIT, Web Services/WCF/RESTful APIs, Experience working on any of the unit test frameworks like NUnit, MS Test, Moq etc. Writing high quality, well-tested, extensible and scalable code. Software development practices like devOps and CI/CD tool chains (i.e. Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins) Experience with scalable architectures using Azure Service Bus Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Logic Apps, Azure API management, Azure Data Factory, Serverless technologies, container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry etc.), API management, Microservice frameworks etc. Reactive Operational Support L2/L3 Incident Management (Quickest possible Issue resolution, Workarounds) Root Cause Analysis Request Mgmt. (apply standard changes / configuration changes / administrative actions) Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Good to Have Experience working on NServiceBus platform Exposure to RavennDB and/or Mongo DB Telecommunication domain knowledge Knowledge / Skills Communication Skills
