Join us today and experience Life at Visa.POSITION SUMMARYThis Systems Engineer position is within the Storage Engineering Team and falls under Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). This position will build, test, and document new storage and backup infrastructure, as well as serve as a Level 3 escalation point for existing infrastructure. This position is part of the Global Storage organization and is therefore required to collaborate with Engineers across global time-zones in a follow-the-sun model. This position is expected to interact with Operations, Product Development, Technology Business Management, and various groups within Operations & Infrastructure. This role must have strong communication and analytical skills.RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the implementation, security and availability of Storage, Backups and SAN infrastructure, based on business requirements while adhering to tight operations, security, and procedural models.Responsible for complex provisioning, advanced maintenance, data replication, disaster recovery, data migration and documentation for our Open Systems Storage and Backup environmentsDemonstrate a high level of technical expertise to support complex Storage & Backup devices, including SAN, NAS, Object and Backup solutions across all tiers.Operate in complex, highly secure, highly available, operations-centric datacenter environments and interact with other technology domain experts as required, to build and maintain the Open Systems Storage and Backups solutions in those datacenter environments.Assist in security remediation of known vulnerabilities for Storage ecosystemThis is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.QualificationsBasic Qualifications
\xef\x82\xa7 4+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree,Preferred Qualifications
\xef\x82\xa7 4 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor\'s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
\xef\x82\xa7 Bachelor\'s degree in computer science/engineering or related field is preferred.
\xef\x82\xa7 Four or more years of solid experience working in SAN/Storage/Backup Administration
\xef\x82\xa7 Experience working in large, complex, enterprise datacenter environments.
\xef\x82\xa7 Knowledge in deploying and supporting Open Systems, Enterprise SAN, NAS and Backup solutions in a hybrid cloud model.
\xef\x82\xa7 Extensive storage networking background is preferred.
\xef\x82\xa7 Preferred knowledge of OS fundamentals for Linux and/or Microsoft platforms
\xef\x82\xa7 Preferred knowledge of virtualization and/or container technologies and products from VMware, RedHat or Microsoft
\xef\x82\xa7 Hands-on experience with AFA SAN arrays e.g. DELL EMC PowerMax or Hitachi VSP
\xef\x82\xa7 Hands-on experience with FC or IP networking e.g. Brocade or Cisco
\xef\x82\xa7 Hands-on experience with NAS arrays e.g. DELL EMC PowerScale or PureStorage FlashBlade
\xef\x82\xa7 Hands-on experience with Object storage e.g. DELL EMC ECS or PureStorage FlashBlade
\xef\x82\xa7 Hands-on experience with Backup/Data Protection technologies e.g. Rubrik, Veritas NetBackup or DELL EMC DataDomain
\xef\x82\xa7 Experience with Disaster Recovery as it relates to storage systems and data recovery techniques e.g. data replication and snapshots.

• Ability to perform analysis and troubleshooting skills for the end-to-end storage and backup stack (VMs, K8, hosts, SAN, Storage & Backup devices)
• Experience in system monitoring tools and techniques for supporting SAN, NAS, Object and Backup operations, alerting and remediation.
• Scripting proficiency in both Windows and Linux environments
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and strong inter-personal skills
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly self-learn new technologies and paradigms.
