This position offers a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, development and support of Baxters Cloud based software that is related to our connected medicine strategy. The Cloud based software will support connectivity of medical devices (Internet-of-Things IoT) and mobile devices in the home and in clinics. The Cloud based software will support management of medical treatments at home/clinics and also enable management of the supply chain related to various medical treatments. The Cloud based software will also have an analytics component that will enable improved clinical outcomes and enable Baxter to develop better strategy based on deep insights.You will be responsible for the developing solutions to drive product development for new and existing components of the Renal Connectivity portfolio. The successful candidate will possess solid hands-on technical abilities, demonstrate excitement and energy for product development, and a passion for their work and the impact it has on meeting the needs of patients.Essentials duties and responsibilities

  • Interact with customers and marketing to develop and refine user requirements.
  • Develop user stories, workflows and functional designs in an agile team to support development and test teams.
  • Communicate design requirements and provide technical guidance to suppliers as needed.
  • Define and establish requirements, workflows and use cases based on user needs are captured, quality requirements are met and technical risks are mitigated
  • Lead the development and documentation of the product systems architecture and systems level design, including the decomposition of the system architecture and requirements into subsystem and interface specifications.
  • Develop the Risk Management Plan and execute the Risk Management activities defined by the plan.
  • Manage integration of deliverables from sub-system design teams and external partners.
  • Resolve competing constraints between interrelated functions (engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, regulatory, marketing, etc.) required to deliver the product to market.
  • Document traceability from requirements to verification activities, and from requirements to design entities.
  • Perform risk analysis and problem solving methodologies to communicate issues and resolution recommendations to communicate across cross functional team
  • Develop and maintain an effective and corroborative working relationship with internal and external development partners.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors / masters in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related field and 6-8 years of related experience.
  • Experience working on at least one medical product project end-to-end as a System engineer
  • Demonstrated experience working with external/internal stakeholders to elicit product requirements and convert them to engineering requirements.
  • Strong background in systems engineering, risk management, requirements elicitation & classification, user workflow analysis/studies, system test authoring and execution.
  • Knowledge of medical device software development including knowledge of standards such as IEC 62304, ISO 14971
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Understands nuances of small to medium scaled enterprise software
  • Experienced and demonstrated superior global collaboration
  • Demonstrates spirit of innovation
  • Ability to lead small to medium sized team technically and raising his/her own performance and others from time to time
  • Demonstrated risk taking ability and challenging status quo
Key Skills and Experience
  • Experience in designing requirements for renal care/dialysis products
  • Played product management roles in the past
  • Hands-on software enterprise application development experience
  • Exposure to Big Data, data analytics is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Behavior driven design & development.
