1. The role requires DevOps engineer to manage Infrastructure, Operations, Automation and release activities for pre-production and production environments.

2. Provide additional support to development team working using Java, Angular, Kafka, Postgres and micro-services architecture for day to day CI/CD operations

3. Create DevOps tools and capabilities to drive engineering excellence across VPA portfolio

4. Serve as a subject matter expert in overall Release, Infrastructure and Operation process

5. Work with core infrastructure team in designing production infrastructure adhering to VISA standards

6. Help team in adopting with SRE best practices and have right support model build for application monitoring

7. The role requires DevOps engineer to act as a first level of defence by critically analysing Alerts through various alerting and monitoring tools line Splunk, Graphing, Prometheus etc.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor\'s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

in Computer Science or other technical discipline

• 2+ years\' experience in Platform or Production Engineering group for high availability/critical platforms/applications
• Hands on experience in Linux and Windows systems and good understanding of distributed computing environments
• Experience in networking technologies including DNS, TCP/IP, SSL and Load Balancing
• Exposure to Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware, scvmm etc)
• Experience in CI/CD/release support
• Experience with container related technologies like Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with alerts and monitoring support (Grafana/Prometheus)
• Experience with scripting (Shell and PowerShell)
• Working knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, including creating and running queries [MySQL and NOSQL]
• Experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications
• Experience of working with ITIL disciplines (Event, Incident, Problem, & Change)
• Have an urge to document all the things so you don\'t need to learn the same thing twice
• Have an enthusiastic, go-for-it attitude. When you see something broken, you can\'t help but fix it!!
