Do you have a passion for Electronic Design Automation (EDA) storage infrastructure in Cloud? Do you enjoy solving complex problems? We are looking for an experienced information systems and technology professional to join the team providing subject matter expertise in EDA storageenfrastructure. You will tackle interesting Engineering challenges impacting hybrid cloud systems around the globe in collaboration with a dedicated group of subject matter experts embedded within the Microsoft Silicon Cloud Hardware Infrastructure Engineering.

Responsibilities
--------------------

• Architecting and maintaining storage solution for EDA application on-prem and in Azure cloud
• Automate, Implement, Monitor, troubleshoot live production issues in storage solution stack.
• Drive creation and maintenance of data handling process & policy documentation
• Drive automation of storage management and reporting including disaster recovery planning for storage systems in use
• Forecast storage requirements, schedules, and resource plans
• Manage the scope of work and deliverables provided by external staff
• Research and evaluate differing storage solutions and weigh the applicability to engineering need, developing cost/benefit analysis to guide the decision process
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational enhancement, help incorporate them into the overall technical strategy.
• Maintain technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with new Azure service offerings, evolving development best practices, industry standards, and technologies.
• Work across organizational boundaries to coordinate with other subject matter experts and achieve shared objectives

Qualifications

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience working in EDA storage infrastructure and architecture in on-prem or cloud (required)
• Experience administrating NetApp storage solutions (required)
• UNIX/Linux Systems Administration Experience (required)
• Deep understanding of storage requirements for EDA tools flows for optimal performance and cost
• Ability to debug and tackle storage performance issues •(required)•
• Experience in scripting language such as Shell, Perl, or Python (required)
• BA/BS or MS Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, related field or equivalent
