General Summary:

The Senior Software Engineer I on the mobile team will leverage cutting-edge technology in a highly regulated industry to deliver life-sustaining systems to our customers. Job Scope:

• Fixing bugs where user interface or app behavior violates SRS requirements or UX design
• Resolving defects that require architectural changes or rework to be testable or complete
• Improving software to enable automation or proper software development practices
• A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of the area of specialization
• Resolves a wide range of issues creatively, demonstrating good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• Works on problems of diverse scope where data analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
• Normally he receives little instruction on day-to-day work and general instruction on new assignments.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Own the design, development, and testing of iOS software features that support remote management of insulin therapy.
• Support the refinement and implementation of features that a small team of engineers can work on.
• Independently identify opportunities in software or processes, gain engineering alignment, and implement proposals.
• Stay present with iOS standards and new technologies.
• Responsible for software design specifications, interface descriptions, and other software documentation; may act as documentation owner for high-level features.
• Guide software validation by communicating software changes effectively and reviewing test regression selection
• Write testable, extensible code and consistently contribute unit tests for all fixes and new code introduced.
• Contribute to the training, mentoring, and development of junior team members.
• Independently diagnose, replicate, and address bugs.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

### Requirements

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills can lead to cross-team collaboration in the engineering organization.
• Hands-on focus on execution interspersed with actively mentoring and fostering talent among the team.
• Commitment to trust and transparency within the working team to cultivate collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Proven experience building consumer-facing native iOS apps.
• Experience with test-driven development and pair programming.
• Ability to write software requirements and translate requirements into design and implementation.
• Knowledge of basic Bluetooth Low Energy architecture and principles is a plus.

Minimum Certifications/Educational Level:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.

Minimum Experience:

• 5 years of software development experience.
• 3 years of native iOS app development experience.
• 1 year developing in Swift.
