CommScope is looking to add a Sr Software Engineer to join our Ruckus team!

How You\'ll Help Us Connect the World

The candidate is responsible for building Wi-Fi Access Point Control Plane Software. The AP Control Plane includes hostapd, WPA Supplicant, Fast Transition, Encryption Key Management etc. Design, Development and resolving technical issues observed by team, QA and customer support engineers in control plane area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Candidates having expertise in any two out of the following areas:

• Wi-Fi Standards includes 802.1x, 802.11
• Wi-Fi mesh, WLAN operations like Roaming (OKC, PMK, FT)
• Hands-on hostapd, wpa supplicant, understanding the internals

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and tackle AP Control plane features for wireless and wired
• Customize, Improve on top of hostapd for different authentication mechanisms
• Analyze existing code and instrument custom code as the need arises to add new features to the product line
• Rapid development, quickly responding to needs of customer trials to win major accounts
• Work closely with QA engineers, Customer Support Teams for the supporting our deployment issues

• Understanding the big picture and discerning its high-level details
• Ability to identify development dependencies
• Ability to grasp new, ground breaking technologies, evaluate and test out alternatives
• Excellent technical interpersonal skills with English, in both speaking and writing
• Strong work subject area and partnership spirit. Ability to quickly read, understand and explain technical topics to the team
• Independent, flexible to changes

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

• 2+ years of work experience in developing AP Control Plane software for wired and wireless platforms
• C/C++ SW development expertise & Knowledge of different Linux platforms
• Proven understanding of 802.1x, 802.11 wireless protocols, including message exchanges with AAA
• Strong problem-solving skills & Excellent written and oral communication skills
• BTech/MTech, BS/MS in EE or CS
