To be successful in this role, we are looking for a talented, detail-oriented and enthusiastic software engineer who is passionate about building highly available and scalable services to serve customers globally and adept at learning and working with a wide range of technologies (including object oriented design, test driven development, databases, AWS Cloud).

This role requires working directly with product, design and operations teams.As a software development engineer on the team, you will:- Work in a fast-paced environment building products using Java, AWS (infrastructure, serverless, relational/NoSQL databases, Big Data/ML technologies etc.) along with a wide range of automated DevOps tools.
- Build high scale and low latency services to enable successful delivery of billions of ad impressions.
- Seek to continually innovate and scale the services through researching design tradeoffs, and owning operational excellence.
- Work with a broad stakeholder group across advertisers, ad demand and supply programs, Prime Video, Alexa (and many more).

- Research, design and code, troubleshoot and support. You own what you create.
- Own systems end-to-end including requirements clarification, design, implementation and roll-out to customers.
- Improve the team\'s development processes to increase developer productivity and enable faster delivery for customers.
- Mentor junior members of the team and actively participate in code and design reviews.
- Influence and evolve the technical direction of the team and org.
- Work with our research scientists and product managers to design experiments with Machine Learning/Deep Learning techniques.
- Brainstorm with Product management and partner teams about new ideas, technical design; make data-driven decisions to inform product prioritization.
- Be an early adopter of emerging AWS technologies for AdTech use cases.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering teamPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or equivalent
