Overview :
We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Shopify Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Shopify and Shopify Plus platforms, strong coding skills, and experience in building custom Shopify stores and applications. You will work closely with project managers, designers, and other developers to create high-performance, user-friendly eCommerce solutions, ensuring that all projects meet business objectives and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Shopify Store Development :
• Lead the development of custom Shopify themes, apps, and integrations tailored to client needs.
• Customize Shopify Plus features and functionalities, ensuring seamless user experiences and optimized performance.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain high-quality, scalable eCommerce solutions.
• Collaboration with Design & UX Teams :
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement responsive and visually appealing front-end designs.
• Ensure designs are aligned with Shopify's theme structure and optimize performance across all devices.
• Help translate wireframes and designs into interactive, user-friendly features.
• App Integrations & API Management :
• Implement and maintain third-party integrations, APIs, and Shopify apps to extend platform functionality.
• Build custom Shopify applications to meet specific business needs, ensuring compatibility and seamless operation with the Shopify ecosystem.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize integrations to ensure flawless operation across all systems.
• Performance Optimization :
• Conduct regular performance audits and optimize page load times, scalability, and overall site performance.
• Apply best practices for SEO, ensuring that the Shopify store is search engine-friendly and optimized for organic traffic.
• Identify bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues related to page speed, API integrations, and server performance.
• Mentorship & Code Reviews :
• Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on best practices, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure the quality of code, adherence to best practices, and consistency in development standards.
• Provide technical leadership in planning and executing development tasks, offering innovative solutions to complex challenges.
• Troubleshooting & Support :
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, bugs, and performance problems reported by clients or internal teams.
• Provide post-launch support and maintenance for Shopify stores to ensure ongoing functionality and updates.
• Manage and resolve escalated technical issues, working collaboratively with other departments as needed.
• Project Management :
• Collaborate with project managers to define project requirements, timelines, and scope.
• Assist in managing the technical aspects of project timelines and deliverables, ensuring they are completed on schedule.
• Provide regular progress updates and communicate any technical roadblocks or challenges to stakeholders.
• Stay Current with Shopify Updates & Trends :
• Keep up-to-date with new features, tools, and technologies in the Shopify ecosystem and eCommerce industry.
• Evaluate emerging trends and technologies to determine their relevance and applicability to client projects.
• Share knowledge and insights with the team to foster continuous improvement.

Skills & Qualifications :

• Experience :
• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing Shopify stores and custom Shopify apps.
• Expertise in Shopify development, including Liquid templating, REST APIs, and Shopify Plus features.
• Hands-on experience with third-party API integrations, payment gateways, and CRM/ERP systems.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git, and familiarity with deployment processes.
• Strong understanding of web development technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Technical Skills :
• Advanced knowledge of Shopify's Liquid templating language.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery).
• Experience with back-end development in Shopify (RESTful API, Webhooks, GraphQL).
• Familiarity with third-party applications, Shopify apps, and integration strategies.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques (minification, lazy loading, image optimization, etc.).
• Problem Solving & Innovation :
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to identify root causes and propose effective solutions.
• Ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions to enhance eCommerce platforms.
• Communication & Collaboration :
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with designers, product managers, and other developers.
• Education :
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Shopify or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Additional Requirements :

• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of eCommerce principles, including product management, sales funnels, and customer behavior.
• Experience in agile methodologies, working in sprints, and using project management tools like Jira or Trello.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• A passion for eCommerce and staying current with the latest trends and best practices in Shopify development.
