Job Title Sr. R&D Mechanical EngineerYour position:As Mechanical R&D Engineer, you will work on the standardization of our products and systems. Together with the members of your team, you will develop efficient and effective solutions that contribute to multidisciplinary projects. The products you develop will be released to our Engineering department as building blocks that can subsequently be configured and reintegrated into our customer systems, all over the world.You will support your colleagues in the application and integration process, as you are the mechanical owner of functional system parts.The result of your effort and deliveries will be our company standard, which will be incorporated into our so called \xe2\x80\x98\xe2\x80\x99Platform\xe2\x80\x99\xe2\x80\x99.Your Department:In Research and Development (R&D), no two days are the same. Our activities are based all over the world and each project is different. Whatever the challenge, it all requires research and development (R&D). This helps us to create state-of-the-art solutions that enhance the operational performance of Vanderlande\xe2\x80\x99s customers worldwide.Your Job Location:Pune, India.Tasks and responsibilities:

• Improving, Optimizing and Maintaining our standard product portfolio with the aid of SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD.
• Creating a standard mechanical design, models based on information available in standard documentation, upfront discussion with experts for opinion, which results in an optimal solution.
• Release designs, documentation and bill of material for production with a quality mindset.
• Supporting internal customers by answering their technical questions like supply chain, Sales, Service, and project engineering.
• You are responsible for the mitigation of design risks.
• Contribute to the development of the mechanical technical competence.

Your profile:

• You must have a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in mechanical engineering.
• You must have relevant working experience of 7-10 years in the industry and a strong interest in mechanics, problem-solving, production techniques and machinery.
• You must have experience with SOLIDWORKS Modeling, detail Drawings, drawing standards & should be able to understand & create a Bill of material (BOM).
• You must have good knowledge of machine design & machine components.
• You must understand manufacturing processes (sheet metal- focus) & their limitations.
• You must understand Safety regulations & standards (European / ISO).
• You have good communication skills and are a good team player across multidisciplinary, multicultural and international teams. Main communication language is English.
• Able to collect information from layouts, reference documents and product experts to create a relevant standard product solution.
• Understanding of logistical transportation systems: flexible thinking. Can understand the parcel from unloading, transportation, sortation and finally loading into a truck.
