TE Connectivity's Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams ensure products and production systems meet customer and contractual requirements through rigorous reliability analysis.
As a Sr. R&D Engineering Lab Lead , you will manage the Sensors R&D Validations Lab to global standards. This includes equipment selection, installation oversight, and GR&R testing. You will also handle vendor management for equipment maintenance, AMC, and calibration, and maintain documentation for safety audits and lab accreditation per automotive standards.
You will collaborate with global cross-functional engineering teams and technical partners, navigating time zones, geographical boundaries, and ambiguity.
Using a structured approach and Lean Product Development principles, you will develop test plans, prioritize resources, and ensure validations meet project schedules and safety standards
Responsibilities

• Selection of the right test equipment based on the validation requirement.
• Lab layout optimization to accommodate the test equipment and effective utilization space.
• Support in Purchase, Installation and GR&R of the test equipment.
• Support in Vendor identification and management for the AMC and regular Maintenance of the test equipment.
• Support in maintaining the calibration history and perform calibration before due date for the test equipment.
• Support in accreditation of lab as per Automotive Standards.
• Maintain the 5S and HSE in the Lab.
• Maintain Lab budget (Capex and Operating expenses)
• Co-ordinate with EHS focal to maintain the records/documents needed for Safety Audit like Master List of Equipment, SOP, LOTO, Risk Assessment, etc.
• Test equipment scheduling based on the validation requests from Global Teams.
• Reliability testing and test report generation.
• Equipment utilization reporting and Implementation of tools for effective utilization equipment.
• Manage resource demand planning, utilization reporting.
• Automation of Testing, Test reports automation
What your background should look like:

YOU MUST HAVE
• Bachelor's Degree in technical discipline (Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Integrated Circuit Design, Physics or equivalent)
• 7-12 years of technical experience including knowledge on full lifecycle developments with automotive standards.
• Experience in the Lab management and reliability testing.
• Exceptional fluency in English
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel as required, ~25%

• Experience in Sensing Technology is preferred.
• Sensor Calibration and Testing Knowledge
• Six Sigma Green Belt Certified.
