To achieve our commitments, Sr Engineer - Quality




• Should have good knowledge of Gas and process product and related mechanical components of centrifugal compressor package.
• Need to understand Client Job specification and raising TQ in the enquiry phase related to Quality.
• Should have in-depth knowledge on National/ International codes applicable to Compressor Package Components
• Should prepare and develop "Quality Assurance Plan" / "Inspection and Test Plan"/"Procedures" to keep our quality objectives and to guarantee products with the lowest possible failure rate for on hand and future orders.
• Is owner of various processes like " Pre Inspection Meeting " (PIM), approval of QAP/ITP from customers, giving on time approval of vendors "QAP/ITP", Customer inspection management, Technical Committee Meetings (TQM) and Product Quality Meetings (PQM), hiring TPI, coordinating and controlling outsourcing inspections, Project quality documentations, Final inspection, Quality release notes for shipment etc.
• Should prepare Project specific procedures for Non-destructive (Ultrasonic Examination, Radiographic Examination, Liquid Penetrant Examination, Magnetic Particle Examination) and other testing procedures like Hydrostatic test, pneumatic test, surface treatment and painting etc. and get the same approved by Customer.
• Is a process owner and drive "Quality at Source" and "Zero defect thinking" to ensure that incoming parts from suppliers are Pre-inspected and ready to use with required documentations.
• Set up and maintain procedure for raising "Non Conformity" to suppliers defects and closure with Root cause analysis (RCA) and Corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPA). Reporting on PPM levels and advise quality rating to sourcing including recovery of cost on account of defective parts and related manpower cost.
• Responsible for audit of products, logging of quality issues and driving of root cause solutions. Drive that solutions are in place to eliminate the need for rework of product. Maintain complete chronological records of lesson learnt and corrective actions, preventive solutions to share and implement process/engineering changes.
• Develop and implement methods, procedures and Standard Quality control plans for suppliers which lead to the targeted quality performance at source, delivery performance and cost in an efficient way.
• Monitors supplier quality performance to assure that only high-quality suppliers are retained.
• Participates in the supplier evaluation, supplier audit, selection and development process as required to meet our quality standards.
• Should compile Quality Dossier / MRB and O&M Manual as per Customer Requirement and Project Specification well in time.






To succeed, you will need


Experience requirements / Knowledge


• You should have experience of 8-12 Years in the areas of Quality Management, handling supplier quality function in EPC, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, petrochemical and fertilizer industries with experience in

Fabrication, Heat Exchangers, Piping, Valves, pumps, Castings, Machining and Assembly of large rotating equipment.
• Good understanding of various quality improvement tools & techniques, Kaizen, 5S, 8D etc.
• Hands-on experience in various manufacturing process like welding, bending, rolling, machining, painting, assembly, NDT.
• Good technical understanding of Rotating equipment like Compressor, Expander and steam turbines products will be advantage.
• Knowledge of Welding Prequalification and documentation as per ASME, EN or equivalent (welder qualification & welding process approval methods)
• Exposure of customer complaint analysis & quality improvement projects.
• Good knowledge of SAP/PLM or any other ERP system
• Good knowledge / handling of testing instruments & calibration procedures.
• Knowledge of various standards - ASME/ASTM/ANSI/EN/ISO standards/API/European Directives/CE marking/ PED/NACE/SSPC/ASME"U" Stamp






Educational requirements


• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Certification in NDT Level II - VT, PT, MT, RT, UT
• Certification in Quality Management (TQM, Six sigma, black belt etc.) is an asset
