DESCRIPTIONThe Device Software Externalization Infrastructure team builds and owns the software infrastructure components to enable simple, consistent and scalable way for the Device Service Providers to offer their services and Service Consumers like Device Product Lines within Amazon and Device Makers outside of Amazon to discover, adopt and use our Device Services for 1P and 3P Products.The Role:
As a Sr.QAE, you will define and implement the test and automation strategy for the Device Software Externalization Infrastructure team. You will be responsible for the quality of the software delivered by the team and have significant impact on the team\'s QA and Release processes. You will define the test strategy, make key decisions on tools and automation framework adoption and implement the right checks and balances to ensure test coverage and build a strong quality safety net to ensure high quality releases . You will insist on high standards and be the bar raiser for quality in the team. You show high judgement and ability to influence across various roles to drive quality goalsYou will bring extensive industry experience and knowledge of different types of testing, testing approaches, test management systems tools, automation frameworks, industry trends and best practices. You will have a demonstrated track record of launching products with high quality, defining and tracking quality metrics, improving test effectiveness & efficiency and partnering with product, UX and development teams to drive quality goals. You have breadth of experience testing customer facing products, back-end services.Key job responsibilities

• Define and implement the Test and Automation Strategy for the team.
• Lead design and choices for Test Management Tools, Automation Frameworks, Test Data Management
• Be abreast with industry trends and best practices. Drive quality best practices and come up with innovative ideas to drive test efficiency.
• Influence and collaborate across different teams and stakeholders.
• Communicate quality and coverage status to leadership.

Assist in the career development of others, actively mentoring individuals and the community on advanced technical issues and helping managers guide the career growth of their team members.About the team
The Device Software Externalization Infrastructure team builds and owns the software infrastructure components to enable simple, consistent and scalable way for the Device Service Providers to offer their services and Service Consumers like Device Product Lines within Amazon and Device Makers outside of Amazon to discover, adopt and use our Device Services for 1P and 3P Products.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Bangalore, KA, IND | Chennai, TN, INDBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 6+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- 4+ years of delivering test frameworks, test tools, leading the QA projects and initiatives experience
- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an QAE role
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience scripting or codingPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Knowledge of at least one modern object-oriented programming language such as C++, Java, Objective C
- Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent
