Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Python Developer to join our team in Kochi. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Python , extensive experience with Django , and a solid understanding of relational databases. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems for our applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development :
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems using Python and Django .
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry standards and best practices.
• Database Management :
• Work with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQLite to design, optimize, and manage data structures.
• Implement and maintain database migrations and queries.
• API Development :
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support application functionality and integrations.
• Ensure robust and secure API development to meet business needs.
• Testing and Debugging :
• Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance optimization of applications.
• Identify and resolve issues in existing applications to ensure system reliability and scalability.
• Collaboration :
• Work closely with product managers, frontend developers, and other stakeholders to align backend functionalities with business objectives.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions.

Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Background :
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Expertise :
• Proficiency in Python and experience with the Django framework .
• Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).
• Knowledge of database design, indexing, and optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and development.
• Understanding of version control systems, such as Git .
• Preferred Skills :
• Experience with cloud services like AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker.
• Exposure to frontend technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
