What's the role?:Sr PS Consultant would be a part of Professional Services - Global Solution Engineering, you will be responsible to design, implement and document test automation suites for customer projects in various industries, including Automotive, Transports and Logistics.MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES (essential functions xe2x80x93 list in order of importance; 5-6 maximum)

• Build and maintain code and related test- scripts pertaining to the delivery milestones.
• Streamline various tests with tools like Junit, Cucumber, Jmeter, Zephyr etc. as needed.
• Should have extensive experience in using languages like Java, Javascript and/or Python , C++ etc.
• Map the requirements, understand user acceptance criteria, and convert user stories into tangible code and test cases.
• Automate different levels of testing (System, Integration, Regression, Acceptance, Performance); create and maintain test pipelines with tools like Gitlab
• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies, track software test results in relevant tools/databases like JIRA / confluence ; provide timely feedbacks
• Maintain and improve automated test suites , Test plans , documentation to ensure quality of existing solutions and updates being applied to these solutions.
• Assist team in troubleshooting issues that may arise during testing phase and in production phase.
• Maintain and increase product code quality, while ensuring best engineering practices

Environment (I.E. DEGREE OF SUPERVISION / INDEPENDENCE; CREATIVITY / FOLLOWING PROCEDURES)

• Tasks of moderate complexity requiring some discretion and independent judgment. Carries out tasks/activities according to assignment and set guidelines. Limited supervision and coaching needed.

• Participates as an individual contributor with advanced professional expertise. Makes decisions affecting functional work within set parameters and able to achieve organizational & department goals as defined.

Impact DECISION MAKING (I.E. TYPICAL DECISIONs MADE; AMT. OF BUDGET RESPONSIBILITY, KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES, INFLUENCE ON REVENUE, PROFITABILITY, QUALITY OR COST, ETC.)

• Impact is short-term and departmental/project in scope. Accountable for quality, accuracy, and efficiency. Actions and errors can have functional area impact.

Who are you?:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering with 5+ years of experience
• Top-tier software engineer with a primary focus in Java 8, Javascript, and/or Python, C++ programming languages
• Experience in QA practices with proven proficiency in development for large integrated software solutions.
• Experience in various test automation frameworks like Junit, Cucumber, Jmeter, Zephyr
• Strong knowledge of testing concepts including different staging environments with requirements traceability.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD methods , AWS / S3 (cloud).
• Knowledge of databases like SQL.
• Analytical approach and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent collaborative skills , spoken English and experience in multi cultural and multi-site working environment is a big plus
• The following knowledge would add extra value to your contribution in our team:

• Knowledge of location-based services such as mapping, navigation, GPS
• Experience in working with embedded and/or automotive hardware test environments
• Testing of safety critical equipments
• Knowledge on location or automotive specific industry standards, e.g., Navigation Data Standard (NDS), Transport Protocol Experts Group (TPEG)
