Job Purpose Position is responsible to prepare most competitive Techno-Commercial Proposals in compliance with the client's requirement / technical specifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include the following, measurable in terms of time, cost, quality, or quantity. Other duties may be assigned.
Policies & Procedures
Follows all relevant Tendering/Proposals and organisation policies & procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Day-to-day Operations
Follows the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the Tendering Department to ensure continuity of work.
Level Specific Accountabilities
1. Preparing Techno-Commercial Bids/ Offers
1. Preliminary study of the enquiry and the basic scope of supply & concept of system.
2. Understand client's requirement and basis for the system design and selection.
3. Detailed study of relevant MR documents like (Technical specifications, Scope of supply, Exclusion, Process datasheets, P&ID's, PFD, plot plan, testing and documentation requirements)
4. Planning, organising & time management to submit techno-commercial offer as per the offer submission schedule.
5. Process Design/ Mass Balance/ Equipment Parameters
2. Sub-supplier correspondences and sourcing. (Vendors Communications)
1. Sending enquires of major critical components/ items to sub-vendors (according to client's approved vendor list)
2. Obtain offers from sub-vendors within the shortest span of time.
3. Technical & commercial evaluation of sub-suppliers offers for the major critical components/ items to insure that the received offer is in compalince with client's specification & process requirement.
3. Detailed cost estimation
1. Cost estimation of the system, insuring all items are covered in the costing part.
2. Cost estimation of overheads, services/ manpower required to execute the offered system/ project.
4. Preparation of detailed technical & commercial offer along with compliance/ deviation statement.
1. Prepare technical offer including deviations/ clarification/ important notes, scope of supply & work, equipment specifications & exclusions.
2. Prepare commercial offer including price break down & optional prices as per the client's requirement along with payment terms & conditions, delivery schedule, domestic/ foreign field service policy & other necessary like performance/ equipment warranty, offer validity & confidentiality agreement.
3. Prepare dully filled compliance statement, quotation request check list (as per client's requirement)
4. Review the project with the Proposals Manager for comments and approval
5. Submit the Techno-Commercial offer.
5. Techno & commercial clarification with the client (after evaluation by client)
1. Reply to the Technical Queries (TQ), that are raised by the client.
2. Provide all necessary information/ documents to the client to get the technical approval on AES offer.
3. Attain technical meetings with the clients
4. Prepare revised techno-commercial offer in line with all till date correspondence (all TQ Reply) with client.
5. Attend technical meeting/ conference calls with clients.
6. Post Order Correspondence with Internal team members
7. Prepare handover report for the awarded project.
8. Prepare rationalized internal proposal including all updated correspondences with the client & sub-supplier.
9. Prepare detailed and squeezed rationalized estimation sheet.
10. Handover of the rationalized internal proposal, handover report & rationalized estimation sheet to the project team for further execution of the awarded project
11. Attend project kick-off meetings
12. Assist the project & procurement team during the execution of the project.
6. Proposals Management System
1. Update the the proposals status/ record on regular basis.
7. Develop company's database related to all key information & Sub-suppliers offer
1. Prepare the database of sub-supplier Quotation of each item/component.
2. Prepare detail Notes on the key information / new technology.
3. Update product catalogues.
8. Proposals Planning
1. Planning of various proposals on the basis of Priority / Urgency.
2. Maintain and update proposal plan and prepare monthly / weekly report.
9. Responding to the Assignments given by Proposals Manager
Assignments on the topic such as -
1. Process development
2. Topics Research
3. Equipment Evaluation
4. Product catalogue study
5. New Equipment Sourcing
6. Develop Company Power Point Presentation
7. Develop Web site Articles
10. Related Assignments

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Minimum education requirement:
1. Bachelor degree in engineering (chemical/ mechanical/ Environmental/Civil) discipline from a reputed university.
2. Sound knowledge of process & hydraulics/Chemical engineering is desirable.
3. Knowledge and/or Experience Minimum knowledge and/or Experience requirement:
4. 3-4 years of experience in a related field. Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience with water or wastewater industries.
Language Skills
1. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
2. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
3. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and MS Office Suite Word Processing software.
Overtime sometimes may be necessary as work load's dictate. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
Job will generally be performed in an office environment but may require travel to and visit a Client's office, production facility or international travel. Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.
