DescriptionAbout the business:The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2300 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy\xe2\x80\x99s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.Your Responsibilities:The primary purpose of the job is to provide advanced technical expertise in programming for 24x7 energy market management systems. The candidate will be expected to make a significant individual contribution as well as working effectively as part of the development and customer support teams.Work with technical leads to develop/write software requirements and design specifications.Work with project managers and technical leads to create a development plan, delivery timeline and provide cost estimates.Develop/Unit Test/Integrate Software needed to meet the design and functional requirements.Troubleshoot customer issues and fix software defects.Maintain and support various modules of the MMS.Living Hitachi Energy\xe2\x80\x99s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your background:Bachelor\'s degree in BSc in Computer Science (or an equivalent STEM degree).Should have 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in programming and thoroughly understanding entire software development and delivery life cycle.Exceptional programming skills in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.In-depth knowledge of Cursors, Ref-Cursors, Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, Index and SQL* Loader.Solid experience in database design, modeling and implementation using Oracle, TOAD, PL/SQL Developer, SQL Developer and SQL*Plus.Experience in Database performance tuning and query optimization.Experience in Data Warehouse, Data Integration, ETL and database technologies.Experience working in various software development methodologies like Waterfall and Agile models.Experience with ORM like Hibernate a plus.Systems level knowledge of Unix and Unix tools. Shell scripting knowledge desirable. Similar knowledge of Windows also a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong Interpersonal Skills.
