:What You\'ll DoAvalara is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager to join our exciting, fast-paced Product team in Pune. The successful candidate will be comfortable in a highly visible role working cross functionally to drive analytics requirements across business critical systems and processes. This candidate will be responsible for solving meaningful analytics problems ranging from delivering & driving adoption for a consolidated analytics service to re-imagining the user experience for API usage based analytics.The successful candidate will:

• Work with internal and external customers to acquire a deep understanding of their requirements & business needs (e.g. other PMs, operations, business development, sales, marketing & customer success teams)
• Apply data science techniques, data engineering processes, and customer driven market experimentation to deliver new and improved product experiences
• Leverage knowledge of storage, ETL, pipeline, and visualization tools to drive both operational efficiencies and new product experiences
• Provide input into data landscape, architecture, and technology decisions informing your roadmap
• Drive annual and quarterly planning processes; align dependencies and delivery dates with adopting product teams
• Create jobs to be done, user journeys, service blueprints, and detailed product requirements
• Develop and articulate defensible point of views based on data from primary and secondary researching including direct customer engagement
• Ensure committed product delivery timelines are achieved across the organization
• Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products and programs
• Develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers across the organization

What You\'ll Need to be Successful

• 7+ years\' experience as a product manager focused on solving business needs using data, analytics, and insights
• Deep understanding of data modeling, data infrastructure, and data science techniques, tools, and processes
• Deep understanding of APIs with some familiarity with usage based billing
• Working knowledge and experience with common Enterprise data tools such as Snowflake, Stitch, Tableau, PowerBI, Data Bricks, etc.
• Very strong technical skills with capability to explore and potentially model data.
• Experience with SDLC including agile development methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira)
• Experience working for leading SaaS companies with a diverse customer base spanning small business owners, SMB, and enterprise
• Ability to articulate clearly and succinctly to drive cross functionaly results through influence
• Strong attention to detail
• Written and verbal proficiency in English
• Ability to travel internationally as needed
