Job Description

The AD&M Engineering Excellence team is responsible for enabling and equipping the entire global AD&M Engineering Team. This position is a unique opportunity for someone to use their knowledge and abilities to oversee all aspects of the PLM process and Digital Data for an entire engineering organization. The AD&M market space is continually increasing in its complexity and customers have a high expectation for on-demand digital data. To remain competitive, it is vitally important to keep pace with these demands. This role will work directly with the AD&M engineering teams with the expectation of providing the leadership required to execute an efficient PLM process and ensure accurate/complete product data. This is not a position that will simply maintain the status-quo. Rather it is expected that this individual will bring a progressive, future-focused mindset that will help to lead the AD&M Engineering team toward becoming a best-in-class engineering organization. The position offers a significant opportunity to implement creative solutions and innovative ideas that will improve the efficiency of the entire AD&M engineering workforce and ensure that our digital data is accurate, complete, and accessible.


Responsibilities:

• Proactively seek out best practices both internal to TE and externally across our industry
• Implement improvements to engineering processes to ensure accurate/complete digital data.
• Eliminate unnecessary process steps and reduce waste to improve engineering efficiency.
• Creation of standards/specifications that ensure consistency across the global team.
• Develop training material and quick-reference-guides to up-skill the engineering workforce.



Desired Candidate Profile:
------------------------------


• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of work experience in engineering, or in support of engineering functions.
• Experience with engineering digital data such as, EBOMs, Compliance Coding, Export Control, etc...
• Working knowledge of engineering systems such as CPR, PDMLink, ECLink, etc.. a plus.
• Able to define requirements for data queries, collaborate with Data Analysts and translate output to actionable tasks.
• Ability to effectively communicate and manage meetings with global engineering teams.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects efficiently and effectively.
• Understanding of the LEANPD development process.
• Capable of serving as an advocate for engineering when interfacing with IT, Advisory Groups, Tiger Teams, Kaizen events, etc...
