Once Vendor onboards in the vendor gateway, he/she can go ahead and add items via Vendor persona in catalog. Merchant persona comes in the flow after that where merchant can take buying decision and add required information. Enrichment and Publishing information to the downstream from our enterprise item service are the next capabilities that Item team manages. Team works on the top niche tech stacks like Spring boot, Kotlin, React and Redux.Job Summary:As a technical leader on the team, the Sr Manager, Software Engineering will be responsible for guiding engineering team(s) of Software Engineers in the design, development, configuration, testing, and on-going improvements required to deliver state-of-the-art experiences. This includes providing oversight of the implementation and maintenance of business and enterprise software solutions to ensure successful deployment of released applications. Additionally, this individual also provides insight and recommendations to inform the roadmap and overall health and care of the larger portfolio.In this leadership role, the Sr Manager, Software Engineering will be focused on clearing obstacles for the team while empowering and enabling others to solve complex technical and business problems. To be successful the individual in this role must bring a strong combination of business and technical acumen, be able to provide solutions that balance the unique needs of both business and technology partners, and excel in communication, leadership, and customer focus.We are looking for an experienced technical manager with a track record for building and growing high-performing teams, and one who partners well with architecture, User Experience, and product teams. This is a hands-on technical role, and the ideal candidate needs to lead by example. Strong working knowledge of cloud-native concepts such as microservices is a MUST, as well as leveraging tools and metrics to drive increased productivity and efficiency of the team.Roles & Responsibilities:Core Responsibilities:Manages software engineers who design, build, and maintain solutions within a set of technology products and/or services; oversees the translation of business requirements and functional specifications into logical program designs, code modules, stable application systems, and software solutionsInfluences and establishes best-in-class engineering practices through solid design decisions; conducts regular code reviews to ensure teams are adhering to best practices; and is directly involved with resolving defects at the code and platform levelsLeverages DevOps tools to efficiently deliver products and Observability tools to actively monitor and identify improvement opportunities with delivered productsAct as a hands-on leader responsible for building highly scalable and readily available solutions focused on customer needs, and proactively tracks key results related to code reliability, reusability, security, and automation. Holds teams accountable to delivering solutions and strives to continuously improve throughput and overall team velocity.Partner with Scrum teams to ensure plans properly align team capacity and identifies ways to increase team velocity and reduce sprint spilloverEnsure the alignment, buy-in, and support of diverse stakeholders by building and maintaining trusting relationships with internal customers, third-party vendors, and senior managementResolve escalated issues throughout the development, configuration, and modification of integrated business and/or enterprise application solutionsDesign solutions leveraging microservice architecture and relies on event and data-driven API integration.Partner with product team members to help inform the priorities within a set of products, applications, and/or services.Provide input for departmental budget and forecasting, and manages expenses associated with initiatives within scope of responsibility. Coordinates the estimation and execution of plans, schedules, and resource forecasts for the services or applications in scope.Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, support and scalability of robust, reliable and secure business and enterprise software solutionsManage multiple services or applications and provides resources in support of the applications by leveraging partnerships with technology teams, vendors, and business leaders.Lead team through all technology solution development phases by ensuring team understands and adheres to company methodology, policies, standards, and controls. Educates and aligns team on departmental SOPs, OKRs, and overall operationalization of assigned services or applications.Provide leadership to the team by attracting and hiring talented individuals, setting goals and communicating clear expectations, providing timely and constructive feedback as well as meaningful developmental opportunities, managing performance, providing resources and support as needed, and sponsoring and leading team members through change.
