Org Unit Name: Oxy & FCA India
Location: India-Gurugram
JOB PURPOSE
This is a business development functional role, acts as lead in the sub-region (India sub-continent), accountability as primary market interface, delivery sub-region result and contributing bottom line of Global BU.
This role is also responsible to plan, formulate and implement business strategies of Oxygenates & FCA products in the sub-region and optimizing business effectiveness, business profit of product(s) and providing optimal service level to customers.
Job Responsibilities

  • Accountable and lead the sub-region team translating BU vision and strategy into cohesive tactics and comprehensive business strategy and execution plan. Compliance and code of ethics would be the guiding principle.
  • Develop, retain and sustain good relationship with key customers through periodic contacts and meetings to exchange market information, explore specific needs and anticipate new opportunities and growth area.
  • Establish high-level engagement, significant relationship with potential customers, co-producers and suppliers, industry leaders & experts to promote SABIC products & services and branding.
  • Managing the team and provide leadership in terms of human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions, planning and reviewing compensation actions, building talent pool, career development plan and succession plan, enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration with support functions(especially with SCM to optimize demurrage and cost to serve), utilizing existing planning & process, monitoring and forecasting tools to achieve cost efficiency & targets
  • Prepare finding and recommendation on marketing study, new business opportunities, market segmentation, application development, netback comparison and other special projects to develop new and innovative solutions and improve product position and branding.
  • Ensure the integrity level of transactions in the respective sub-region, comply with SABIC company policy & procedure, local law and meeting local regulation to ensure full compliance, covering all product safety & handling, with all business risks exposure well protected.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS INTERNAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Economics or Business from an internationally recognized university
  • Minimum 12 year of relevant experience in regional chemical sales preferably in the petrochemical industry
  • Good knowledge about Chemicals value chain and Supply Chain.
