Manage entire Import, Export & Domestic Distribution Operations of an organization with annual turnover of more than 1000 crore.

Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain processes and reduce lead times.

Oversee import and export compliances, ensuring adherence to customs regulations.

Well versed with Electronics and Information Technology Goods requirements for Compulsory Registration Order 2012, Central Pollution Control Board EPRA, PWM, BWM and Legal Metrology Packaged Commodities certifications.

Negotiate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, domestic express cargo, FTWZ authorities and Insurance Brokers to ensure efficient and cost-effective logistics management.

Stay current with international trade regulations, tariffs, duty benefits, drawback, incentives and customs laws.

Prepare and submit import and export documentation, including customs declarations and licenses.

Resolve customs-related queries by making suitable replies and delays promptly to minimize disruptions in supply chain operations.

Analyse domestic transportation and logistics costs to identify cost-saving opportunities. To optimize routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.

Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to streamline operations and enhance overall efficiency.

Periodical reviews with all service providers for attaining efficiency.

Hands on experience in API integration with service providers to minimize paper work and human intervention.

Lead a team of import and export managers, providing guidance and support as needed.

Conduct training sessions to educate staff on import and export regulations and best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors / Master degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

15+ years of work experience in Import Export and domestic distribution preferably from AEO & Star Export House status holder organization.

Strong knowledge of customs procedures, and international shipping documentation.

Effective communication and negotiation abilities.

Proficiency in MS Office, logistics software and ERP

Certification in Import, Export Management & in-depth knowledge would be added advantage

Education

UG: Bachelor of Commerce / Business Administration

PG: MBA/PGDM in Operations Management & International Business
