Job Description
Dream Sports (DS) Legal is the in house legal function that supports all divisions within Dream Sports ecosystem on varied legal issues relating to the existing as well as prospective businesses for the group ranging from general corporate, M&A, fundraise, structuring, litigation and litigation strategy, IP strategy, registration, monitoring and enforcement, data protection etc.Your Role:
- Single point of contact for the marketing team with a focus on intellectual property, media rights, sports rights acquisition, sponsorships etc.
- Having an understanding of taxation in relation to business transactions i.e. TDS, GST etc.
- Providing legal opinions to business teams on topics of use of intellectual property, building business friendly and complaint guardrails
- Working the various product teams and advising on legally compliant structures
- Working with external counsels and law firms for timely deliveries.
- 6 to 10 years of relevant experience
- Proven working experience of intellectual property law & sports rights acquisition deals
- Experience of working on information technology contracts
- Previous experience of working on Data Privacy and Protection will be an added bonus
