Summary of Role: The Data Scientist will join a growing talent analytics team that is responsible for building out new sophisticated talent insights for our organization, teams, and individuals to measure our talent efficiency and effectiveness. You will us scientific methods, algorithms, and tools to extract insights and knowledge from large volumes of data and analyzing and interpreting complex data sets to solve business problems, drive decision-making, and provide strategic recommendations. Essential Responsibilities: Data Collection and Preprocessing: Identify, collect, and preprocess large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources, including databases, APIs, and external datasets. Clean, transform, and integrate data to ensure its quality and suitability for analysis. Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Conduct exploratory analysis to understand the characteristics of the data, identify patterns, relationships, and anomalies. Apply statistical methods and visualization techniques to gain insights and generate hypotheses. Statistical Modeling and Machine Learning: Develop and apply statistical models, algorithms, and machine learning techniques to analyze data and solve complex business problems. This includes regression, classification, clustering, time series analysis, and other predictive modeling techniques. Feature Engineering and Selection: Identify relevant features and variables that contribute to the accuracy and effectiveness of predictive models. Perform feature engineering, extraction, and selection to improve model performance. Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, data engineers, and software developers, to understand business needs, define problem statements, and develop data-driven solutions. Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and related fields. Continuously enhance skills and knowledge through self-learning, attending conferences, and participating in training programs. Required Qualifications: Strong Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, statistics, and mathematical modeling. Ability to apply statistical methods and quantitative techniques to extract insights from data. Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling. Familiarity with data manipulation libraries (e.g., pandas) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify business problems, formulate hypotheses, and develop data-driven solutions. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey complex ideas and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the specific industry or domain relevant to the organization, such as finance, healthcare, e-commerce, etc. This includes understanding business processes, key performance indicators, and industry-specific challenges. Preferred Qualifications: Education and Experience: A bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in a field such as data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related quantitative discipline. Relevant work experience in data analysis, statistical modeling, or machine learning is highly desirable. Years of experience required with Bachelor degree 10-12 years/master\'s 8-10 years.
