Job Title: Assistant Manager - Java Developer

Job Summary:
Onward Group is seeking a skilled Assistant Manager - Java Developer with expertise in Java8+ , Spring Boot , Microservices , and APIs to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with modern web development technologies and cloud platforms, along with a strong focus on backend development and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Java Development:
• Develop and maintain applications using Java 17 , Spring Boot (WEB, DATA JPA, Security), and Microservices architecture.
• Ensure that the application logic is efficiently implemented with a strong focus on quality and performance.

Cloud Integration:

• Work with cloud platforms , preferably GCP (Google Cloud Platform), to design, deploy, and scale applications.
• Integrate with cloud-native services and deploy applications with cloud-first approaches.

API Development:

• Develop and consume RESTful APIs ; manage HTTP calls to RESTful services .
• Implement OpenAPI for API-first development practices (optional but a plus).

Database Management:

• Work with databases such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB to design, implement, and optimize database structures and queries.

Frontend Integration:

• Collaborate on frontend development using Angular (or other frontend frameworks) to integrate APIs and enhance the user experience.

Logging & Monitoring:

• Implement logging using Slf4j with Logback .

Security & Authentication:

• Work with security protocols like OAuth2 and Identity Providers (IDPs) to ensure secure and compliant application development.

Collaboration & Documentation:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams for requirements gathering and solution design.
• Document solutions and processes, adhering to industry best practices.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Mandatory:
• 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Java 17 , Spring Boot , Microservices , and APIs .
• Experience in working with Postgres or MongoDB databases.
• Strong experience in Angular (or any frontend framework).
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and API integration.
• Optional:
• Experience with GCP or any other cloud platforms .
• Knowledge of Hexagonal Architecture is a plus.
• Apigee or API Gateway experience (nice to have).
• Familiarity with OAuth2 , IDP , and other authentication protocols.
