Job Title: HR OfficerJob Location: Bhadreswar, Hooghly:As an HR officer, your primary responsibility is to attract, screen, and select qualified candidates for various positions within the organization. You will work closely with departmental HODs to understand their staffing needs and develop strategies to source the best talent. Your role involves managing the entire recruitment process from job posting to onboarding, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring teams.Key Responsibilities:1. Recruitment Strategy Development:
Collaborate with dept. HODs to understand staffing needs and get the manpower requisition filled with detailed job description.
Collaborate with senior leadership team and get the Manpower Requisition approved by the management to fulfil the vacant position at the earliest.
Determine the most effective methods for reaching target candidates and sourcing top talent.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in recruitment to continuously improve strategies.
2. Candidate Sourcing and Screening:
Utilize multiple channels such as job boards, social media, referrals, and networking to attract potential candidates.
No. of open positions to be reviewed and updated on a regular basis. Recruitment process to be emphasized through Companys Employee Referral Program by effective communications with all staff members of the organization.
Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates that match the job requirements.
Conduct initial screenings to assess candidates\' qualifications, skills, and fit for the role.
Collaborate with dept. managers / HODs for further screening of candidates profile.
3. Interview Coordination and Evaluation:
Development of interview questions and evaluation criteria.
Coordinate the HR round of interview and followed by the feedback session to senior management.
Schedule & coordinate interviews between candidates and Interview Panel.
Gather feedback from interview panel members and candidates to assess suitability for the role.
4. Offer Negotiation and final approval:
Facilitate offer negotiations between candidates and interview panel, ensuring alignment on compensation and benefits based on approved and available budget of the company.
Get the position approved by senior leadership team followed by communicating to the candidate.
5. Candidate Engagement and Experience:
Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing updates and feedback.
Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
Ensure a positive candidate experience by delivering clear expectations and timely responses.
6. Onboarding:
Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including paperwork, orientation, and training arrangements according to the Staff Orientation Policy of the company.
Regular follow up with new hires to ensure a smooth transition and address any issues or concerns.
Offer ongoing support & provide opportunities for learning.
7. Training and Development Coordinator:
Coordinate training activities for learners within the organization.
Facilitate training coordination for inter-departmental transfers and multi-skilling initiatives to enhance employee capabilities across different roles.
Coordinate skill-upgradation training sessions to keep employees updated with evolving industry requirements.
Manage training sessions conducted through IJIRA (Indian Jute Industries Research Association), exclusively designed for staff members.
Ensure accurate and timely update of training data to track progress and assess effectiveness.
Conduct regular follow-ups with trainers, trainees, and departmental staff to evaluate training outcomes and address any issues.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to adhere to scheduled training plans.
8. Data Management and MIS:
Keep accurate records of recruitment activities, including candidate profiles, interview notes, and hiring status.
Generate reports on recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, candidate satisfaction and other MIS suggested by management time to time.
Analyze data to identify trends, evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, and make data-driven recommendations.
Proven experience as a Recruitment Specialist or in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with recruitment techniques, sourcing strategies, and applicant tracking systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates and stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
