The Sr Designer will be responsible to conceptualize and create solutions across a variety of media, including print collateral, packaging, environmental/signage, brand guidelines, logo and identities, advertising, motion graphics, web and more This person will also serve as a Lead designer in the department providing creative and art direction for multiple assets It will be his/her responsibility to ensure the project stays on strategy and it is visually compelling He/she will work independently to develop concepts and translating them into executions afterwards The Sr Designer will have authority to approve certain projects and address changes or revisions with Project Managers always communicating project updates to the Creative Services Manager It is also his/her duty to bring best-practices and to be informed about the latest industry trends, in order to maintain the Herbalife brand current, in collaboration with the rest of the team- writers, production artists, and under the supervision and direction of the Creative Services Manager DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES: Independently conceptualize, art direct and design various company and sales and Marketing driven pieces. Apply creative and art direction in the execution of various materials such as print, web, video, environmental branding, etc for different clients. Review and approve own work as well as create proactive work for various clients Ensure constant and accurate communication between all team members, designers, writers, production artists and Managers. Being able to train, and supervise Temp staff if needed. Report timelines, issues, and concerns as well as to always establish open communication to the Creative Services Manager Ensure the Herbalife brand is followed across all touch points. Conceptualize ideas on his/her own for multiple departments and functions. Develop and collaborate on creating brand style guides. Strong ability to independently integrate both copy and design into compelling solutions. Drive the Herbalife brand across all design vehicles packaging, advertising, facilities branding, brand style guides, and other requests. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Experience leading Design/Creative teams, providing creative feedback and taking high impact strategical decisions regarding creative projects. Skills: Very good at conceptualizing ideas and communicating effectively to team members. Strong organizational abilities, including proper time management. Independent follow-up ability, attention to detail, monitoring and controlling. Deep and broad knowledge across multiple communication vehicles: Internet, Print, Packaging, corporate ID, systems-based design, style guides, advertising, catalogs, video, and environmental design. Experience with photo shoot art directing. Ability to work under pressure. Presentation development and presentation delivery to senior executives. Languages: Advanced English. Experience: 8+ years hands-on design Experience with Advertising agencies (a must). Experience hiring and directing other designers, or writers. Experience managing outside vendors, photographers, illustrators, stock photography houses, etc Education: BA or higher in Design or Fine Arts with emphasis in Graphic Design or Advertising. Education from accredited undergraduate design or fine arts program. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of Flash, After Effects or other motion graphics.
