Act as a Business Partner to Operational team members on all aspects of financial health and investigation to drive successful and efficient completion of the Project including respectfully challenging viewpoints as needed. . Work with the Operations Teams to ensure accurate Revenue is recorded monthly and in timely manner according to deadlines. . Prepare and skeptically review revenue backlog forecasting for up to 600 projects to ensure prospective forecasts of Revenue reported to market are accurate and achievable. . Perform detailed analysis of monthly revenues to evaluate performance versus forecast, revenue changes and confidently communicate findings to BUC on monthly review calls. . Critically review changes to contract to ensure sufficient coverage for required activities and provide management with a revenue impact estimates for contract changes. . Coordinate, control, and validate month-end processes. Will include manual entries, and entries for direct revenue and pass through revenue recognition entries through month end timetable and checklist and associated validation checks. . Reconciliation of Work in Progress, Advance Billings, and revenues by project in excel monthly. . Work closely with one other senior financial analyst to manage 300-400 active projects each month. . Perform regular closeout of projects including reconciliation of revenues and billings and contract terms. . Work with other departments such as Accounts Receivable, Contracts, the Project set up team to assist with any queries or additional information they may need to progress the study. . Maintain key project details in financial systems such as key project team members and project timelines. . Prepares analysis associated with financial data and metrics for upper management. Maintains supporting schedules for the calculation of company metrics and BU level P&Ls. . Prepare monthly account reconciliations for project related balance sheet accounts. . Work with other Early Phase sites to manage and record intercompany activities. . Monitor and follow up on working Capital balances and Aged Debt. . Implements controls and procedures to ensure financial information is reported accurately and timely for group deadlines. . May assist with training and mentoring of more junior team members. Learn more about Skills and Qualifications An appropriate candidate must have: . BS/BA degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent education and experience . Finance background and/or have previous experience working in Finance. . Pharmaceutical or CRO experience isFavourable. . Strong English proficiency. Intermediate/Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential. Proficiency with accounting software packages is necessary and experience with Peoplesoft Finance is preferred. . An Ability to work with confidential and sensitive data is required. . Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Excellent financial, communication, and interpersonal skills are as well as a high level of personal motivation to achieve. . Leadership and mentoring skills to support less senior team members. . An ability to prioritize activities and perform several tasks simultaneously. . Initiative and a proactive approach to learning and management of various deliverables. .
