Develop the system based on business requirement and long-term technology strategy and present it to management for approval. . Develop fully functional modules that meet all the specifications and have successfully passed all tests including unit, integration, regression and system tests . Estimate level of effort required to develop code that meets acceptance criteria . Coordinate with other onshore and off-shore developers, deliver working code . Tier-3 support and production release support- Respond promptly to requests from the support team in order to resolve user queries and handle technical issues that are out of scope for the support staff. . Conduct peer reviews and provide documented constructive feedback . Participate in regular release processes. . Analyse the production incidents & PR records and update the Customers on the resolution. . Work close with Business teams on the Issues resolution. . Ability to understand the multiple components and dependency between them. . Good understanding & Hand on experience on the both Batch and Real-time Abinitio processing. What will you be doing . Work as an individual contributor to develop code and support the team on deliverables. . Has an acknowledged area of expertise and understands how the team can deliver software more effectively. . Using direction provided by leadership and own understanding of project & BX objectives, make decisions within the scope of a given project to ensure objectives are fully achieved and to realise opportunities / mitigate risks that may arise. Work to maximise the value of any given delivery . Participate in Post Release Reviews to ensure all lessons learnt on technical things are documented and incorporated in future releases/projects . Closely work with Project/Release managers & support them in all activities during the entire life cycle of the project . Work close with Application team on the Issues resolution and application Knowledge Transitions. . Partner with the other VCC functions for technical related topics, and imbibe them into the deliverables . Support conceptual technical solutions, evaluate & implement new technologies/tools . Build the ETL Code using Abinitio for both Batch and real-time approaches as per business requirement. What we\'re looking for: . Hands on experience working on Ab-Initio ETL with both Batch & Real Time processing. . Good Knowledge and experience in using the ICFF Lookup and Ab-initio concepts. . IT and Business stakeholder management & governance, team building and team management experience . Specific qualifications or certification in technology-based skill sets would be an advantage . Be hands-on with data analysis and deep-dive data mining investigate databases on a regular basis with a certain degree of proficiency in SQL. . SDLC: Environment management, QA process, Reviews and checklists, lineage, promotions, backup and recovery, data area management . Others: Unix, Teradata, Tivoli Scheduling, Change Management, Incident Management . Ability to work in high pressure, milestone driven project plan . Planning and estimating from requirements and change requests . High personal integrity, able to maintain confidentiality and proprietary company information. . Use the Barclays Training portal to accelerate and maintain skills level, particularly the development of professional change skill sets. Skills that will help you in the role: .
