Sr. Engineering Manager, D&T, IoT Solution, with a strong engineering background, leadership skills, and a penchant for solving complex technical problems. This role primarily focuses on architecting solutions for IoT applications on the platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IoT technologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions. He/She will be working with teams that are lean, incredibly impactful, highly motivated, engaged, and empowered to make a difference. The role compasses technical/ functional expertise, people, and stakeholder management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Possesses a solid understanding of the overall vision, business needs, and solution architecture for enterprise solutions.
• Understand product portfolio and actively contribute to the roadmap/strategy of the business unit.
• Leverage your technical background to provide expertise, make informed decisions, and help the team overcome technical challenges. Mentor and support team members in their technical growth.
• Generate application engineering policies, standards, and procedures.
• Managing cloud-based solution with Azure PaaS, using C#, .NET Core, Node.Js, Vue Js and python
• Designing and building highly scalable, available, and resilient cloud solution architecture.
• Institute development best practices to ensure the team produces high-quality, well-architected, and supportable code. Lead code and architecture design reviews.
• Manage employee career development by coaching and mentoring junior engineers while guiding senior contributors to maximize their potential. Provide continuous performance feedback, collaborate with employees on their objectives, and provide a clear path for progression through personal development plans.
• Provide support and guidance that enables the team to self-organize and to achieve sustained high velocity and predictability.
• Engage with organizational stakeholders to deliver on technology priorities and strategy.
• Collaborate on roadmaps with Architects and Tech Leads to ensure the team has clear direction and priorities. Ensure there is cross-training and a healthy balance between features and technical debt.
• Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• Minimum 10-14 years of experience .

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Solid experience and in-depth knowledge of:

o Solid IoT related software development background, including:
\xef\x82\xa7 Experience in building distributed or data intensive systems
\xef\x82\xa7 Experience with device connectivity & protocols (HTTP, MQTT)
\xef\x82\xa7 Experience with communication encryption preferred (TLS, PKI, Digital Signature)
o Azure IoT and Azure IoT Edge-based architecture and developing solution for the same.
o Node.js, GraphQL and Express.js: Strong proficiency in Node.js, GraphQL and experience with Express.js for backend development.
o Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Kubernetes K8s.
o Device Provisioning techniques, Azure IoT Provisioning services and developing custom device provisioning services.
o Microservice based architecture and development.
o Developing custom docker images, publishing it to docker registry and Azure Container Registry services
o Setting up Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) / DevOps for cloud hosted solution.
o PowerShell and Azure CLI
o Developing reusable ARM templates with the help of PowerShell
o Monitoring and troubleshooting Azure/Edge hosted solution

• Strong understanding and knowledge of the following:

o Overall Azure and cloud platform ecosystem and roadmaps
o Docker, Docker Hub and using Kubernetes for automating containerized application deployment.
o Application Monitoring and SOP\xe2\x80\x99s for Azure Services App Management


Physical and Travel Requirements

• 15% travel, including global travel
• Occasional on-call work required
• 12pm \xe2\x80\x93 9pm India time. Willingness to work outside of these hours as needed.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Sedentary - Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
