Responsibilities:
1. Telecom Design and Planning: Develop telecommunication design plans, specifications, and strategies for the overhead electrification railway project, ensuring efficient and reliable communication systems.
2. Project Execution: Manage the telecommunication aspects of the project throughout its lifecycle, including coordinating with various stakeholders such as contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure the timely and accurate implementation of telecom systems.
3. Network Infrastructure: Design and oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of telecom network infrastructure components, including fiber optic cables, data networks, voice systems, and other communication equipment.
4. Telecommunication Systems Integration: Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, such as signaling, power supply, and civil engineering, to ensure seamless integration of telecommunication systems with the overall electrification infrastructure.
5. Network Security and Data Management: Implement robust network security measures and protocols to protect sensitive information and ensure data integrity. Develop strategies for effective data management and storage.
6. Testing and Commissioning: Plan, supervise, and conduct testing and commissioning activities for telecom systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
7. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of telecom systems, ensuring minimal disruption to railway operations.
8. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare accurate and detailed technical reports, specifications, and documentation related to telecom systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
9. Team Leadership: Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and technicians, promoting knowledge sharing and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Requirements:
3 years for Graduate or 7 years for Diploma.
In-depth knowledge of telecommunication systems, including fiber optic networks, data networks, voice systems, CCTV, public address systems, and other related technologies.
Proficiency in using industry-standard telecom design software and tools.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex telecommunication issues.
Excellent project management abilities, including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Familiarity with safety management systems and risk assessment processes in railway telecommunication. show more
