Make a difference every day!This position will be responsible for creating and deploying visually appealing and highly interactive Microsoft Power BI based reports and dashboards.The incumbent would work with Business Analysts to analyze the data and reporting requirements, understand the business needs, and recommend and deliver on the best available metrics and visualizations using Power BI.Key Responsibilities / Duties:The focus of the role is to develop Power BI reports that are user friendly and visually impactfulIncorporate native data analysis features of Power BI to translate data into insights and highlight actionable KPIsDevelop UI/UX and design language for various Technology reporting themesDevise and implement design principles and ensure all reports adhere to these principlesTranslate business requirements into documented navigation flows and wireframesTake a simplistic and self-explanatory approach to reporting interface to ensure answers to questions asked by Business Partners are clear and evidentAbility to understand customer needs and convert them into deliverablesUtilize full potential of Power BI by incorporating the latest features and updatesBe the authoritative voice/SME on Power BI for all of TechnologyImplement row level security and manage access to reports and workspacesWork with Business Analysts to review and prioritize requirements and track to completionExtract data from multiple data sources by configuring Power BI gateways, and using M scripting to connect and refresh the data.Write complex DAX statements and utilize R to manitpulate and analyze dataSpecial projects as assignedPOSITION QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION/FORMAL TRAININGCollege degree and/or equivalent work experienceWORK EXPERIENCE7 years overall experience with at least 3 plus years of experience with Microsoft BI StackAt least two years of Power BI reporting experienceComprehensive design experience with knowledge of common desigh tools such as PhotoshopHands on experience with Microsoft Office products, specially ExcelSKILLSStrong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detailStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capabilityHighly resourceful team-player, with the ability to be extremely effective independentlyFamiliar with SSRS, SSIS, SSAS and related Microsoft tools such as Power PivotExperience in writing simple T-SQL queries to get the necessary dataDemonstrated ability to achieve high performance goals and meet deadlinesComfortable working with Microsoft Office apps (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Understanding of the risks and impact to business of inaccurate and stale dataAnalytical skills, to critically evaluate the information gathered from multiple sourcesWorking Conditions:Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures.The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary.Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment.Full Time / Part TimeFull timeWorker TypeEmployeeJob Exempt (Yes / No)NoWorkplace ModelAt Invesco, our workplace model supports our culture and meets the needs of our clients while providing flexibility our employees value.
