Job Description

The Firmware Engineer on the Module Integration team develops embedded software and supporting tools to commercialize products that meet marketing requirements, as well as supporting those products as Sierra\xe2\x80\x99s customers deploy our products in the field.

Responsibilities:

Debug and problem solving either individually or within a team

Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives and demos

Work with the Product architects to take ownership of functional areas within the Firmware stack.

Collaborate with Product Management and other engineering and QA teams

Troubleshoot field issues related to functionality, performance and scalability.

Verify process activities that ensure that solutions meet business requirements.

Collaborate with local and offshore co-workers

Work with your scrum team to continuously improve processes

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor or above, major in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.

4 to 9 years experience in Firmware development experience in cellular industry.

Strong C/C++ and python coding skills

Strong in RTOS/OS concepts.

Good understanding of modular/layered coding, APIs etc.

Advance logging and debugging skills.

Domain experience (LTE/G4/G5), Wireless standards (3GPP, 3GPP2, GNSS, WIFI, etc.), Qualcomm 3G/4G platform knowledge is an added advantage.
