Key job responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination
- \xc2\xa7 Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or Site Engineer to discuss and formulate estimates of materials, plant and equipment required for completing the project.
- \xc2\xa7 Prepare and plan work schedule for the project to be used by the management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
- \xc2\xa7 Prepare cost and expenditure statements, Bill of Quantity and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
- \xc2\xa7 Direct or coordinate design, commissioning, installation, maintenance, support or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications or client requirements.
Testing and Maintenance Related Responsibilities
- \xc2\xa7 Monitor projects during or after execution to ensure projects conform to design specifications.
- \xc2\xa7 Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment or software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units.
- \xc2\xa7 Inspect components of Solar Panels for accurate assembly and installation or for defects, such as loose connections or frayed wires.
- \xc2\xa7 Resolve all snag points and notification of defects issued by the Consultant/Client before Commissioning of the Solar Panels.
- \xc2\xa7 Provide client support and education, working with client to identify needs, determine sources of problems, or to provide information under warranty.
- \xc2\xa7 Coordinate scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment/ machinery, to detect and prevent problems.
- \xc2\xa7 Develop, implement, or evaluate maintenance policies and procedures.
Safety Related Responsibilities
- \xc2\xa7 Inspect or evaluate site environment, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
- Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
Human Relations and Professional Development
- \xc2\xa7 Work with chargehand and workers staff to ensure high-performance, service-oriented work environment that supports achieving project objectives, values and strategic plan.
- Ensure the professional development of staff within the department to ensure they keep abreast of technical developments, relevant regulations and industry best practice.
