Job title : Sr. Electrical Design Location : Bangalore Experience : 5-7+ yrs Work from Office Department : Production Engineering Department Key working relationships : Production team leaders, purchase & supplier personnel and Sales managers Have prior working experience in electrical design and detailed engineering of environmental applications like temperature, PID control. Working knowledge in solid works electrical, AutoCAD and Automation PLC&HMI (siemens, redlion, schneider etc). Knowledge about design of electrical control panels according to relevant standards like IEC 61439, IEC 60204, IEC 60364-5-54, NEC, NEMA and UL. Preparation of documents such as instrument lists, block diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable lists, etc. Knowledge in process instrumentation, power distribution & protection for explosive atmosphere environments. Sourcing of, and interaction with vendors of electrical and instrumentation equipment. Experience in leading a team and managing timelines ; Great team player with strong interpersonal skills. Commercial awareness and experience of dealing with customers & suppliers. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good communication skills both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues and individuals inside and outside the Company. Responsibilities : Design & detailed engineering of electrical and instrumentation work and datasheets in accordance with project requirements to ensure technical and regulatory compliances are met. Coordinate with electrical and instrumentation equipment vendors, to ensure compliance with project specifications. Selection of electrical equipment types, cable s and protection type and review drawings, calculations, design reports, etc. Review technical quotes, recommend the selection of suitable electrical equipment and instrumentation, cables and other system components based on process/project requirements to assist procurement/commercial team. Take part in inter-discipline coordination work between engineers from other disciplines like mechanical and refrigeration to ensure quality and interfacing of electrical part in supplies. Updating documentation in our Engineering Change Management system. Design verification tools such as concept down selection, DFMEA, DRA, Review gates Experience in handling wiring team of at least 5 peoples.
