Senior Application Developer

Know it matters. The Senior Application Developer is responsible for making application changes to provide the required functionality for IT service. This includes the development and maintenance of custom applications as well as the customization of products from software vendors.DISCOVER your opportunityWhat will your essential responsibilities include?\xc2\xb7 Able to code with GOSU programming language and related Guidewire Cloud technology.\xc2\xb7 Design and code integration components including plug-ins, messaging (and supporting business rules), and programs that call the Guidewire application APIs.\xc2\xb7 Work collaboratively with developers on other teams, internal and external, onshore, and offshore.\xc2\xb7 Estimate work requests at various levels of confidence.\xc2\xb7 Assist with technical analysis of solution design and prototype.\xc2\xb7 May assist in maintaining development standards for design, coding, etc.\xc2\xb7 Support resolution of defects during application testing phases.\xc2\xb7 May serve as a member of a Major Incident Team.\xc2\xb7 Implement and document change in accordance with an approved SDLC process and development standards including Development estimation.\xc2\xb7 Unit testing is conducted to ensure changes are of sufficient quality before system testing.\xc2\xb7 Providing product support, including technical oversight of problem determination, resolution, and root cause analysis.\xc2\xb7 Support analysis and resolution of defects during application testing phases.\xc2\xb7 Proactively identify and communicate improvement opportunities.You will report to the Digital Factory Release Train Engineer.QualificationsSHARE your talentWere looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:Required Skills and Abilities:\xc2\xb7 Experience In coding In XML and GOSU (Guidewires scripting language).\xc2\xb7 Experience programming with technologies such as JavaScript, Java, and C#, C, or C++.\xc2\xb7 Experience utilizing Reactjs and Nodejs.\xc2\xb7 Experience with modern integrated development environments (IDE) such as Eclipse or RAD.\xc2\xb7 Must have a thorough understanding of database concepts including SQL\\MySQL.\xc2\xb7 Must have experience with the integration of Python components with Web APIs.\xc2\xb7 Must have a thorough understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.\xc2\xb7 Familiarity with Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter.\xc2\xb7 Bachelors degree in the field of computer science, information systems, business management, or a related field required.Desired Skills and Abilities:\xc2\xb7 Must have a thorough understanding of data structures and data formats like JSON, XML and CSV.\xc2\xb7 Experience with building financial calculation components.\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Security API interfaces (JWT, HMAC token etc).\xc2\xb7 Hands-on experience with JIRA, Agile methodology, source code management - GIT, SVN, TFS etc.\xc2\xb7 Designs, develops, and tests a variety of software assignments that constitute a portion of a large project.\xc2\xb7 Ability to work constructively in a team environment as well as resiliently.\xc2\xb7 Fast learner with the ability to adapt quickly and work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.\xc2\xb7 Knowledge / Experience with Test Driven Development is a plus.\xc2\xb7 Exposure to cloud technology (ideally Microsoft Azure) is desirable.\xc2\xb7 Experience with Agile, SDLC, CI/CD, and DevOps processes.\xc2\xb7 Passionate about learning and working on new technologies.\xc2\xb7 Experience working in a geographically distributed project team preferred.\xc2\xb7 Must possess good interpersonal skills, team-oriented, technically motivated, and creative, user-oriented, and self-driven with a desire to learn AXA XL's business.\xc2\xb7 Broad understanding of application development and support technologies.\xc2\xb7 Good verbal, written, and presentation skills.FIND your futureAXA XL, the P&C and speciality risk division of AXA, is known for solving complex risks.
