About the Role We are looking for an experienced professional to drive debt partnerships for Velocity. You will lead the discussions with multiple banking/NBFC partners, support the closure process, and work with them on an ongoing basis to keep deepening these partnerships. The ideal candidate will be a combination of strong relationship-building skills, a deep understanding of debt products and partners, a technology enthusiast, and a result-oriented professional. Responsibilities
  • Leading and managing debt partnerships by building and leveraging networks with NBFCs, banks, other financial institutions, and rating agencies.
  • Research debt partners, identify key players, understand their products, and create a compelling case for Velocity partnership.
  • Develop a solid knowledge of lending products and their structuring for NBFC/Bank partnerships.
  • Create a systematic, process-driven approach to debt partner outreach and relationship management.
  • Negotiate and finalize deals in accordance with the company\xe2\x80\x99s guidelines and policies.
  • Deliver a great experience to our partners. You will be representing our brands when reaching out to partners.
  • Forecast, measure, and report the results of various debt partnerships.
  • Maintain MIS and key performance metrics across partners.
Process
  • 4 interviews: This gives you an opportunity to get to know the core team better and evaluate whether you\xe2\x80\x99d like to spend a large proportion of your day with these individuals.
  • Total duration: We\xe2\x80\x99ll try and fit our entire process into a two-week window on a best-effort basis.
  • Interview content: The discussions test functional expertise, ownership levels, problem-solving, communication, and team spirit. Sometimes we ask open-ended hypothetical questions, other times we just talk about your approach to solving problems.
Qualifications
  • 3-6 years of previous work experience in the debt partnerships domain.
  • Heavy network in the financial services/Fintech ecosystem.
  • Understands capital requirements, reporting, etc., from an NBFC perspective.
  • Understanding of product, credit risk, credit, and collections policies.
  • Strategic thinker with a networking aptitude.
