Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer, Database

Reports to: Manager, Software EngineeringA quick snapshot\xe2\x80\xa6As a Senior Database Engineer, your role is to achieve the ultimate goal of making data accessible so that it can be used to evaluate and optimize organisation performance. You will be involved in working with various settings to build systems that collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information for business analysis. Your collaboration with application developers to determine the best representation of the data that supports business processes and provide the design models that reduce data redundancy, streamline data movement, and improve enterprise information management.Why it\'s a big deal\xe2\x80\xa6You will play a vital role as a Database Engineer in building the next-generation Conga Revenue Cloud Platform. With your expertise in building, maintaining, and organizing the infrastructure that enables organizations to leverage data effectively. In essence, data engineers bridge the gap between raw data and actionable insights, making them a crucial asset in data-driven decision-making. This will allow you to collect data from various sources, including databases, APIs, external data providers, and streaming sources. You will own cloud-agnostic platform components, architect, build and scale them.Are you the person we\'re looking for?Related Experience. You are likely to have more than 5 years of experience in databases along with database management systems like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL.Database Security. Strong understanding of data security and privacy regulations such as GDPR, and HIPPA.Data Analysis. Strong understanding of data processing using different techniques OLTP, OLAP, HTAP, data engineers design and build OLAP data cubes to represent multidimensional data.Design and Implementation. Your experience in designing, developing and maintaining database architectures that support business requirements. Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.Development of data-related instruments. As a database engineer the role in the first place, use programming skills to build, customize, and manage integration tools, databases, warehouses, and analytical systems.Education. A bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or equivalent.Here\'s what will give you an edge\xe2\x80\xa6Good to have skills. Experience in developing solutions using NoSQL and AWS/Azure cloud technologies would be an added advantage.Strong communication and interpersonal skills. You\'re comfortable initiating and engaging in collaborative discussions. You are skilled at reading and adapting to different communication styles. When you speak, you are clear and concise. Your strong listening skills help to build trust and foster connections with our clients. They also ensure you collect the correct information so you can resolve issues most expediently.Meeting Deadlines. You have proven ability to work within set timelines and update management on deviation from these estimates.Adaptability and Initiative. You are a self-starter, possess a strong commitment to detail, and can work in a rapidly changing environment. You don\'t wait around for things to happen or for your manager to tell you what to do.
