Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in either MongoDB or PostgreSQL to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing our database systems, ensuring high performance and availability. You will work closely with developers and IT teams to support our applications and ensure data integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Management : Install, configure, and maintain MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Backup and Recovery : Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data and ensure business continuity.
• Performance Tuning : Monitor database performance and conduct tuning activities to optimize queries and indexes for better performance.
• Security Management : Implement database security best practices, including user management, roles, and permissions to protect sensitive data.
• Data Migration : Plan and execute data migrations, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity during the process.
• Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve database issues, including connectivity problems, performance bottlenecks, and data discrepancies.
• Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Collaboration : Work closely with application developers to design and optimize database schemas and queries for application performance.
• Updates and Upgrades : Manage database updates and upgrades, ensuring compatibility with existing applications and minimal disruption.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong experience with MongoDB and/or PostgreSQL administration, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in SQL and database design principles.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery strategies and tools for MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with monitoring and performance tuning tools (e.g., MongoDB Compass, pgAdmin, or others).
• Understanding of database security best practices and experience implementing security measures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?820,073.37 - ?1,756,192.17 per year
